I don't care what the critics or snobs say, this is one the most hilarious movies of the year, but also the most off color of any film. It is one of those films that just makes you laugh so hard that you don't care about anything else.

Grade: B+

It's...tolerable. The beginning is good, but after that it starts to slowly trickle down from good to sub-par and by the end it's basically unwatchable (much like Spider-Man 3, though not as bad due to the shorter length).

It was so bad... just beyond bad. The story was stupid, very unoriginal and predictible. To much dumbness.

I just want to grab Brett Ratner and kick his ass. Its that bad.

Okay, first of all, to Shack's review - :noway:

Now, on to my own review...

I have never been a huge fan of the Rush Hiur series, always thinking that it just didn't measure up to the best of the buddy cops genre. But it was always decent entertainment. I liked the first two films equally, giving them both a B. I think what the Rush Hour flicks benefit from is the great chemistry between Tucker and Chan and the ingenious idea of pairing them both in a film like this.

This is also one of the few saving graces of Rush Hour 3 which is a clear step-down from the first two films. I still contend that it's passable entertainment. In a movie like this, I'm also willing to overlook the logical implausibilities, but what hurt my enjoyment of the film the most was how freaking lazy the whole thing seemed. All of the involved seemed to be just in there for their paychecks, same goes for the screenwriting and the direction. While I don't love the first Rush Hour flick, it at least had more of a soul and energy. Here Chan and Tucker are mostly sleepwalking through the film and nothing ir really too exciting or too interesting. The bad guy is pretty lame and when a Frecnh taxi driver becomes the highlight of this film, you know you're in trouble.

I still found it to be a somewhat worthwhile, experience, unlike, say, Premonition, but it showed that making a sequel just for the money is not a very good idea if you want to please the audiences. Nothing in this film seemed inspired. The chemistry between Chan and Tucker was still there, even though it was going on autopilot and there are some funny scenes here too, but overall, this is just an unnecessary sequel that is qucker forgotten than a McDonald's meal.

This thread has been very enlightening. Shack, as I type this, your name is being added to a secret list kept by the board's aesthetes.

there's nothing wrong with this movie, per se, but at the same time, there's nothing right with it, either. It reminds me a lot of "Shrek the Third" in that sense. Just a lot of opportunity wasted for a lot of "whatever" moments. Although one can't deny that the Chan/Tucker duo is always a blast to watch.
