He had one decent year and really a thousands yards is easy this day and age. 1300 yards really is more impressive and would never touch that. He is just an average RB. DMC could be a star and the Raiders need all the weapons they can get.

They have nothing on offense, hell they need a couple new offensive lineman, another WR and a RB. This would be like my team the Chiefs picking the best LB with the fifth pick, when they need OL the most.

Hey everyone!
Thought Lorenzen was the worst backup in the league?
Well... The Giants just signed David Carr...
HAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAH
Let's hope Eli doesn't get hurt, or else the Giants will NEVER win again. EVER.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
David Carr is a great pick-up as the Giants anyway are much too talented that they would off-set any weaknesses and still make the Super Bowl. Remember, the NFC is a cake-walk with Farve retiring and Romo isn't proven yet with him choking 2 years in a row.
Plus Carr is only trying out for the #2 QB spot, he doesn't even have it yet.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
Also does anyone think that Romo will be able to handle the pressure and take the Cowboys through the playoffs as he hasn't been able to for 2 years. I just think it is hard as he has the pressure of playing up to past Cowboy legends like Aikman and Stauback, past Cowboy Super Bowls wins, the crazy owner and Romo is basically a gun-slinger who like Favre plays wild and only won when he played more under control.

Favre was under control in 1997?
You're making yourself look foolish.

 Re: 2008 NFL Discussion
You said Favre only won when he was under control. He was a gunslinger in 1997... when he won the Super Bowl.
You lose yet another argument.

I have no desire to go back and look at 1997, all I know is that everyone I heard talking about Farve this year said he was playing under more control and not playing wild and trying to do too much like in previous years. Just like the complain againist Romo. And also notice how you never even talked about Romo, the original question, who messed up the Cowboys last 2 years. So 2 for me and None for you.

Favre lost in the playoffs playing conservative.
One for me.
Romo is 19-7 in the regular season with TWO pro bowls. It's not his fault that he has shitty receivers.

Farve lost in the playoffs as the Giants plain and simple beat him, just like the way the Giants beat Brady and the Pats. Also on Farve, he was on a roll in 2007 which was one of his best years ever and also his best year in about 10 years. Check the stats. And on Romo, yah drops? with 19 interceptions thrown in 2007. Gunslinger!
