Re: WoKJ: Box Office Game Beta - Question on Pg. 3
Would you guys rather have the "Average Score" column, like it is now, OR a "Total Score" column, where instead of averaging your scores, including 0's for weeks not played, it would simply total your scores over the given period.
Thoughts?

Wasn't the results supposed to be entered with two numbers behind the colon? I did my predictions that way and just realized last week's results were entered like Mojos with only one decimal.

Are you talking about the results before the final results are put up?Because when I updated the calculator (which automatically updates the Bonanza This Week's page), I only do one decimal. But when Xia updates the game, with the actuals, I'm sure he enters his numbers using the 4 digits, not the 3 that I do. Unless, he forgot last weekend. Because last weekend was the first weekend I entered the actuals into the calculator, using 3 digits. When I update the calc from now on though, I'll use two decimal places (4 digits).

Yeah, the final numbers, or actuals, are whatever Xiayun puts in, he can go more than 1 decimal.

BTW: There must be an error in the rankings somewhere. According to the average score I am slightly behind Corpse, but I am listed ahead on the holdover average and the opener average. I have no idea what of the three numbers is wrong, but one has to be.

I have no idea what of the three numbers is wrong, but one has to be. Thank you for reporting this. I wasn't taking into effect the # of holdovers and openers each week. What was happening was: Say you predicted 7 holdovers in week 1, scoring an average of 85%, and then predicted 5 holdovers in week 2, scoring an average of 75%. The old ranking formula was not taking into account how many you predicted in each week, and was simply averaging the two, to give a total of 80%. The real score should be 80.833% in the above example, and I have fixed the chart to reflect this. Thanks again for lookin out. KJ

Re: WoKJ: Box Office Game Beta - Question on Pg. 3
Eagle, I forgot to mention it last week; could you take a look at my score from two weeks ago (02/29 - 03/02)? Look like I got a zero and incorrect value for the last two holdover scores.
And I haven't found a way to go back to look at the exact predictions from earlier weeks other than the last.

Fixed.
Error came from when I entered your prediction manually, added a space to the end of the name, so it didn't register. Should be fixed now.

Re: WoKJ: Box Office Game Beta - Question on Pg. 3
I have added a feature so that Bonanza can calculate how many Monthly wins, top 10's and top 20's you've had. This is based on a full month, so, if you were the best player in all of February, you now have a monthly win, if you were in the top ten in February, you now have a monthly top 10, etc.
The rankings have been calculated for January and February. When future months end, we'll go ahead and calculate those as well.
You can view your monthly stats on your My Results page.

The hall of fame page has now been created, I'll put together the full list pages probably tomorrow to finish it out. But for now, there it is! If you can think of any improvements in looks, any additional things to be charted, etc, anything at all, please let me know. http://www.worldofkj.com/bonanza_hall.php

Re: WoKJ: Box Office Game Beta - Question on Pg. 3
I included opening Friday for Iron Man as an entry to predict this weekend since I feel predicting a film below $2m would bring more luck into play, especially when there is a better option for the start of the summer.

Re: WoKJ: Box Office Game Beta - Question on Pg. 3
I just realized there are lots of wrong numbers. I got a 73% on Redbelt where I should have 0% yet 0% on Harold and Kumar which schould be around 90% and Nim's Island wasn't calculated as mentioned before http://www.worldofkj.com/bonanza_viewUs ... _name=Levy

Re: WoKJ: Box Office Game Beta - Question on Pg. 3
So very, very odd. I just completely took apart the code that enters all that info, and it is returning totally different scores than what got into the database. I honestly have NO idea how the scores got messed up, something went wrong, but I don't know what or how. I'm going to wipe the actuals/rankings databases at some point today and re-input all the data.

Re: WoKJ: Box Office Game Beta - Question on Pg. 3
Well, I went ahead and re-entered all the actuals (some in a bit more detail), and re-calculated everyones scores over all the weeks. Everything worked fine, and I literally didn't change a single line of code, so I have no clue what caused the hiccup.
