Re: Top 5 Thread (Film Ensembles PG. 3/4)
not necessarily based on star power, but a cast that truly works and makes the movie even more brilliant:
1. The Truman Show 2. Edward Scissorhands 3. A.I. 4. The Silence of the Lambs 5. Magnolia (Pulp Fiction would be other "cool" choice for the last spot)

Re: Top 5 Thread (Film Ensembles PG. 3/4)
Based on star power, some war movies win this I'd think. The Longest Day, A Bridge Too Far, The Great Escape, Apocalypse Now, The Dirty Dozen,...

Re: Top 5 Thread (Film Ensembles PG. 3/4)
Sorry for the long wait, Im working on three shorts and working double shifts so its been rough. But anyway, some very close race this time around. 7-way tie for 5th place. Out of 11 Players these were the results. Parenthesis means number of votes.
Top Five Ensembles in Film
1. The Departed (6) 2. Pulp Fiction (4) 3. Mars Attacks (3) 3. Magnolia (3) 5. JFK (2) 5. Thin Red Line (2) 5. Goodfellas (2) 5. The Godfather (2) 5. LA Confidential (2) 5. True Romance (2) 5. Fish Called Wanda (2) 5. LOTR (2)
A lot of splits this time out. Hopefully we'll be a little more distinct next round which will be up shortly

Ok, next round.
Top Five Sports Comedies
***Keep in mind, not sports films, sports comedies. Should be pretty apparent, a film that could be qualified as a comedy, and not something that is laughably bad.
1. Major League 2. Caddyshack 3. A League of Their Own 4. Happy Gilmore 5. Dodgeball

Re: Top 5 Thread (Sports Comedies PG. 4/5)
Woah, some very close matches lately. Here are the results with 10 voters this round. In Parenthesis is the # of votes. Top Five Sports Comedies1. Happy Gilmore (9) 2. Major League (6) 2. Dodgeball (6) 4. Caddyshack (5) 4. A League of Their own (5)Happy Gilmore won pretty clearly. I picked all five for a change, though I forgot about Kingpin and I probably would have put one in their, and it missed out by a vote, so Kingpin gets a special nod here. And to the one person who picked Caddyshack II.

Re: Top 5 Thread (John Hughes films 4/5)
Here we go for the next round. The limitations are simple, since he rarely does anything anymore. Keep it to films he either wrote or directed.
Top Five John Hughes films
1. Vacation 2. Ferris Beuhler's Day Off 3. Planes, Trains, and Automobiles 4. The Breakfast Club 5. Home Alone
