Your 10 Must Sees of 2008.
So far my list is shaping up like this. Should point out i have very low awareness of indies usually until they are actually out, because i ususally only see them on dvd. I spend my theater dollar seeing only the most desired blockbusters. Top 101. WALL-E 2. IN BRUGES 3. WANTED 4. THE BUCKET LIST 5. HARRY POTTER AND THE HALF-BLOOD PRINCE 6. BABY MAMA 7. GET SMART 8. HE'S JUST NOT THAT INTO YOU 9. MY BLUEBERRY NIGHTS 10. THE HAPPENING TOP 2011. PRICELESS 12. INDIANA JONES 13. THE MIDNIGHT MEAT TRAIN 14. THE WOMEN 15. HORTON HEARS A WHO 16. DEFINITELY MAYBE 17. SLEEPWALKING 18. SOUTH OF THE BORDER 19. THE DARK KNIGHT 20. NIMS ISLAND LOOKS GOOD21. CHAOS THEORY 22. DOOMSDAY 23. CJ7 24. THE FORBIDDEN KINGDOM 25. VANTAGE POINT 26. CITY OF EMBER (IN RETROSPECT, THIS IS MUCH HIGHER, BUT LISTS CHANGE REGULARLY) 27. FOUR CHRISTMASES 28. THE DAY THE EARTH STOOD STILL 29. BOND 22 30. BE KIND REWIND

Re: Your 10 Must Sees of 2008.
I forgot to mention this, but 2008 is the weakest slate from my point of view since 05.
And 05 was a disaster.

Re: Your 10 Must Sees of 2008.
I thought 05 was great, just my thought though.
Right now, all I care about is The Dark Knight.
Maybe Wal-E and Horton, but other than that, nothing tickles my fancy as of yet.
Too many zzzzzzzzzz after a pretty sweet Holiday season with No Country For Old Men and There Will Be Blood.

1. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skulls 2. Quantum of Solace 3. The Dark Knight 4. Get Smart 5. Wall-E 6. Pineapple Express 7. Forgetting Sarah Marshall 8. Semi-Pro (unless it becomes PG-13) 9. The Incredible Hulk 10. Step Brothers
The top three more than make up for what looks like a somewhat weak year.

The top three more than make up for what looks like a somewhat weak year. That is almost exactly what I would have posted. So as above but add BENJMIN BUTTON and BODY OF LIES. I agree with Michael its not a very good slate at all. Hopefully there will be some decent year enders like those that saved 2005 and 2006.

Okay, is that really the title? Cause that is fucking hilarious. I really have no idea what movies I want to see this year, except for a handful of obvious ones. Most of the movies I end up really wanting to see I don't know much about except maybe a month or two before they open.

Re: Your 10 Must Sees of 2008.
Really no set order...
1. Wall-E 2. The Dark Knight 3. Indiana Jones (even though I'll be all depressed at seeing Harrison Ford as old) 4. Sex and the City 5. Forgetting Sarah Marshall 6. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince 7. The X-Files 2 8. Bruno
There are probably more, but I don't know enough about them yet.

Re: Your 10 Must Sees of 2008.
01. WALL•E (A. Stanton) 02. The Dark Knight (C. Nolan) 03. Pineapple Express (D. G. Green) 04. Burn After Reading (J. Coen & E. Coen) 05. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (S. Spielberg) 06. Green Zone (P. Greengrass) 07. Quantam of Solace (M. Forster) 08. Australia (B. Luhrman) 09. Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince (D. Yates) 10. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button (D. Fincher)
For big budget movies, this looks like a pretty strong year, meaning hopefully I won't hve to go far to find good cinema.

Re: Your 10 Must Sees of 2008.
I am very uneducated about most of what's coming out. I just don't have interest in movies anymore. I'll probably only see a handful.
1. Indiana Jones IV 2. Iron-Man 3. Incredible Hulk 4. The Dark Knight 5. James Bond 6. Harry Potter 6 (I still haven't seen 5, but I'll have all the books read by the time this comes out) 7. The Day the Earth Stood Still 8. Journey to the Center of the Earth 3D (it's supposed to be out this year. I'm reading the book, and this is supposed to showcase some new 3D techniques.)
That's all that I "must" see.
You Don't Mess with the Zohan, Get Smart, Sex and the City, and Speed racer are things that I can wait for. The top 5 are my only guarantees to see.
