4/4 so far in my predictions. Now, so long as NCFOM wins Ensemble...

Re: The Official SAG Awards Party Thread
It's weird how three of the acting categories now look locked, while the final one is absolutely fucked up.

Re: The Official SAG Awards Party Thread
Yeah, I have no idea how anything could unseat No Country at the Oscars.
If LMS couldn't unseat The Departed, Juno is not going to win. And I don't see TWBB winning. Michael Clayton's nomination is the honor, and Atonement can't win without a Director nom.

Not in this year. Oh no, not in this year.

The 3 best speeches were Bardem, Day Lewis and Brolin. Great speeches

Re: The Official SAG Awards Party Thread
Thoughts: Well, TV was pretty awesome (for 30 Rock). Then the show dragged and dragged and dragged.
4 of the 5 were as expected, although I do see support gradually building for Cotillard...so we'll see what happens there. Either way, Cotillard and Christie gave 2 of the 3 performances that I felt were in a different league than everyone else this year (with DDL), so I'm happy either way.
Dee? Weren't her noms supposed to be her awards? I sort of understand it...but seriously, compared to Blanchett, Swinton and Ryan, it's sort of just not okay. I don't know where this leaves us for the Oscar. I just don't want Jennifer Hudson's precious award being thrown out to a forgettable, tiny performance.

Charlie gave an emotional speech. And funny as well. Sorry if you all don't know him or don't like him, but god what a wonderful man.

Nice night, but predictable.
Ruby Dee, meh. I guess if that's her first win then that's OK.
Liked DDL's speech.

Re: The Official SAG Awards Party Thread
Ruby Dee...wtf?!
Good call, Jon!
I think it'll be one of those years where three different people will win the Globe, the SAG and the Oscar for Best Sup. Actress. Meaning that it's down to Swinton and Ryan because Ronan simply does not really figure anywhere. I go with Ryan.

Class act by DDL. Moving speech.
Ruby Dee is a joke. Even comparing her perfoemance to Cate Blachett's or Amy Ryan's is outrageous.

Re: The Official SAG Awards Party Thread
Does Tilda Swinton still think she's filming Constantine?
Her androgyny is cute though. She's so cool/confident in real life while in Michael Clayton she's so goddamn insecure... I actually don't mind her winning the Oscar.
