Nearly half of that is her 1 minute, 40 second scene where she talks down Denzel and slaps him. If she were to win that would pass Beatrice Straight in Network for the shortest Oscar winning performance EVER.  Race + Veteran Status x slapping one of Hollywood's biggest stars = Oscar success What an equation.

How long was she even on screen (I know it doesn't matter) but at least some people like Judi Dench can make a role memorable whereas this one is as forgettable as any ever crafted.

Although I do think Vanessa Redgrave was more memorable in her performance in Atonement.
