For noms, not wins.

T-Minus 48 hours to go:

Mine:
Atonement doesn't make any of the major categories.

I'm also going with Amy Adams getting a nom.

My second wish is for Jennifer Garner to get a surprise nod.

Zodiac gets at least one nomination, hopefully something like director or adapted screenplay.

Could Actually Happen: Amy Adams gets nominated for Enchanted.

Total Fantasy: Zodiac manages a Best Picture nomination.

I'm currently predicting that. I really hope I'm wrong though, seeing as I thought it was a great movie.

Superbad gets a Best Picture nomination.

I think Ratatouille, Knocked Up, and The Savages are three better films that won't get in, but I can't put in words just how amazing it would be if Superbad was nominated for Best Picture. It would make up for any mistakes the Academy's made in the past decade.

I'm willing to sacrifice someone for this to happen.

Juno was good, I enjoyed it. But there were quite a few problems I had with it, especially with the screenplay (potentially poignant lines overburdened by unusual lingo, the weird relationship between Juno and Mark which I did not like). The film is nowhere near as good as Little Miss Sunshine, and I just wouldn't be happy with Juno making it. But still, don't get me wrong, it's a good film. I wouldn't nominate it for the Oscar though.

Thankfully, I don't think it will happen.

Peace,
Mike

1. Knocked Up to get a screenplay nom

2. Either Blood or Into the Wild getting 10 nominations (they're the only ones who can do it except for Atonement. I'm not counting Sweeney because it's not in the race =p)

3. Jennifer Garner getting in Supporting Actress

Zodiac getting a best picture nom would be amazing. Chances are probably 1/10000000 though.
