Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
Hopefully this is much more watchable than Bionic Woman. I liked what I have seen in promos so far.

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
Good posters I say! Gotta thank Fox programming for benching this, so I'll at least have something to watch during the spring (Repeat Land). Now here's hoping it's... good.

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
The pilot was quite good. No idea if they can keep up the excitement every week. We'll wait and see.

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
Great posters. The pilot was pretty crappy, though. The drama seemed okay but the moment that wannabe terminator shows up... it's like me doing an Arnie expression, totaly laughable and not menacing at all. Without this working the whole show doesn't work.

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
They renamed the show to Terminator: The Sarah Conner Chronicles eh?
How very Star Trek: Enterprise of them.

I didn't like the pilot very much, but we'll see.

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
But it was TV action and explosions. In other words, cheap and poorly shot.
Ugh.

It was okay, not great not horrible. Headey looked strangely older than usual though and I cannot stand the Glau girl.

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
I also want to give a shout-out to the godawful performance by Lena Headley as Sarah. I don't think she could have been less convincing in that part if the actress had been a quadrapalegic. And the dialogue...sweet Xenu, the dialogue!

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
Yeah, it was... eh. Very much the same thing I watched last April, and I wasn't impressed then. I'll give it a chance tomorrow night to see where the series goes on a week-to-week basis, but if it's bad, I'll just wait for Terminator Salvation.

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
Is it me or does Lena Headey here kind of look like a poor man's version of Nina Myers?

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
I sorta liked it. I just don't think it's going to keep up after this though. So, for me, it'll go from good to mediocre. For others here, I guess it'll go from bad to worse.

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
wasnt too bad. After seeing how awful Bionic Woman was, I didnt have that much expectation for the show but at least its decent. Does that girl who play the terminator do anything other than sci-fi shows where shes some heroine?

Re: The New Terminator Tv Show
Quote: Fox's Sunday debut of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" scored the best opening night demographic ratings of any new show in three years, while NBC's not-so-lustruous Golden Globes special barely registered with audiences, reports Variety.
Boosted by strong marketing and a big NFL playoffs lead-in, the Warner Bros. TV-produced "Terminator" notched an eye-popping 7.6 rating/18 share among adults 18-49 and delivered around 18.3 million viewers with its one-hour premiere Sunday at 8.
By contrast, the WGA and SAG-boycotted Golden Globes announcement special on NBC settled for an abysmal 1.7/4 in the demo and 5.8 million viewers. That's even fewer viewers than last-week's star-less "People's Choice Awards" on CBS, though the Globes special did a hair better in the demographic.
The one-hour special even dipped at the half-hour mark, indicating auds didn't even want to stick around to see who won best picture--or maybe realized they could find out the winners faster by tuning to E!, which aired the half-hour official Globes press conference live.
"Terminator" gave Fox its best premiere numbers for a scripted show in eight years, since "Malcolm in the Middle" became an instant hit on a January Sunday night in 2000.
"Terminator" also ended the two-week reign of "American Gladiators" as the season's biggest premiere. Fox’s scripted series outdrew "Gladiators" by 30 percent in the demographic and by 50 percent in overall viewers.
The show shifts into its Monday slot tonight. The network has eight episodes in the can. Seems like it did really really well on 1st day. It dominated.
