Seems like this isn't my type of humor. It was a tad better than Anchorman but that's not saying much. Some of the racing scenes were fantastic, tough. C-

Frequently hilarious, but fairly stupid and doesn't hold up well upon repeat viewings. Shows flashes of the comedic brilliance of Anchorman, but lacks the supporting cast and likability to approach its overall quality. Will Ferrell is funny but obnoxious, and the film, while spoofing sports movies, still falls prey to some of the clichés. Sacha Baron Cohen is the definite highlight.

Re: Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
What the hell was so hilarious?... It was somewhat funny at parts and thats it. It was quite boring most of the time. Very disappointing.

Funny, but overrated I think. I was expecting something really hilarious.

Oh, god, this was death. I thought Anchorman was funny. But not this. Never this.

Re: Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
Apparently I never posted about this. I thought it was funny...saying grace before dinner was pretty hilarious, and there were a handful of other hysterical/brilliant moments. But overall it was pretty low-quality humor. It absolutely pales in comparison to recent similar comedies of the decade, including Dodgeball and Anchorman. Perhaps this is like Dogeball, which originally left me with a very lukewarm feeling, but I eventually grew to really like as a comedy. Unlikely though.

A very clever American satire. Like every Will Ferrell comedy, this gets funnier each time you watch it. My initial disappointment has more than gone away.

Talladega Nights: The Ballad of Ricky Bobby
Mediocre. Not funny. Too long. Not interested in Nascar. The only good things about were when Sacha Baron Cohen said "By the way, I saw Highlander and it was shit", and every scene with the stunningly sexy Leslie Bibb.
