Quote:
Batman, often promoted as Batman: The Movie, is a 1966 film based on the Batman television series, and the first full-length theatrical adaptation of the DC Comics character of the same name. Released by 20th Century Fox, the film starred Adam West as Batman and Burt Ward as Robin. The film was directed by Leslie H. Martinson, who also directed a pair of Batman episodes; "The Penguin Goes Straight" and "Not Yet, He Ain't", both from season one.

The cast includes members of the original TV cast, including Alan Napier, Neil Hamilton, Stafford Repp and Madge Blake. Appearing as the criminal characters that they played on TV (and given the name the Rogues Gallery of Villains) are Frank Gorshin as the Riddler, Burgess Meredith as the Penguin, and Cesar Romero as the Joker. Julie Newmar, who left the movie before production started to do other work, is replaced with Lee Meriwether as Catwoman.

Wait is this the movie of the TV series?

Doesn't it have like every bad guy in it?

If it's the one I'm thinking about it's pretty much the greatest movie of all time.

"Some days, you just can't get rid of a bomb"

"Quickly, Robin, the anti shark repellent bat spray"

 Just too many lines that I can quote from this film. One of the first movies that I ever saw, and this was the first movie that I ever bought. It was back in the mid eighties when it wasn't like it is today where it's trendy to buy movies. Nobody did it at the time. I paid 70 dollars for it.

The campy humor in it has never gone out of style, and seeing Batman and the boy wonder squaring off against The Joker, Penguin, Riddler, and Catwoman together was memorable, but not as memorable as how they figured out who the villians behind the latest caper were. I remember that they figured out the Joker and Catwoman were involved because they were at sea, and "C" stands for catwoman, and while at sea, a shark was biting Batman's leg (which is what he needed the anti shark repellent bat spray for), and Batman deducted that the shark was "pulling his leg" like a "joker" would.

Priceless! :hahaha:

It's a pretty brilliant camp classic, as almost every scene or line is quotable and hilarious. It almost seems like it was done unintentionally, as it seems, to me, to be easier to achieve this kind of comic brilliance through inept filmmaking, but it really doesn't matter. It's immensely entertaining, one of the funniest films I've ever seen, and a superb parody (if it really is) of the Batman character.

I really can't grade this film. It's cheesy as hell but also really fun.

Probably the best movie that captured the show, up there with the Fugitive . Very fun movie and since this was the Batman of the 60s, it was entertaining.
