By the way...so much for Benning not being the frontrunner. I tell you, she'll win the Oscar too, mainly because Swank has already won.

That's unfortunate.

But true. Unless, Staunton somehow manages to surprise, I consider it a done deal for Benning.

Lets put it this way.

You keep your wacky fantasies of Hotel Rwanda getting nominated, and I'll keep mine of Benning losing for Being Julia :)

Mine is more likely ;)

Unfortunately, Swank is going to win especially with the higher profiled Clint Eastwood film.

Wish someone would come up with something better than she can't win 2 times.

And I wonder if Benning winning the Globe will hurt her Oscar chances as some may think her performance was already recognized.

It is the main AND valid argument and I am not the first and not the last to bring it up:

Then if people are guessing that will be the main stumbling block, unlike talent or deserving, to Swank winning, there is less of a chance that will be untrue as if their were other or multiple stumbling blocks.

Hephburn's performance in the original film blows her's away.

I think Hepburn's performance in 1968 just about blows all other performances out of the water, except for a select few.

And Peter O'Toole's performance was amazing aswell.

Absolutely. All the performances in that film are great.

This helps Javier's chances, although I think Leo will still win.

I went to finally see Finding Neverland this afternoon, and there were previews for both Flying Daggers and Sea Inside and I had to say "Damn! Two more films I have to see..."

I dunno about Flying Daggers Mike. The over-the-top to the point of laughable action, story and acting, along with quadrulple crosses, are starting to make Yimou look like the Chinese Michael Bay.

I'm not keeping track or anything, but 3 Bond girls have now been on stage. Halle Berry, Teri Hatcher, and Minnie Driver. \:D/
