Basically a clean sweep by NCFOM (Picture, Director, Screenplay, Supporting Actor), a day after a sweep by TWBB on the west coast. When was the last time LA and NY showed such distinct preference on two separate films?

It's Amy Ryan mania.

Picture is starting to look like a two horse race.

Well, to be fair Crash, Chicago, A Beautiful Mind and Gladiator hadn't won ANY awards at this point in the race, so...

Eh, at least I'm Not There is mildly interesting. Same for the Zodiac mention and Mortensen, who is gonna need a Globe nod to stay alive.

Apparently Paul Rudd showed up on an early ballot for Knocked Up and Walk Hard, the latter of which showed up on a ballot for Best Picture. Also, Bianca the Sex Doll from Lars and the Real Girl was on a ballot for S. Actress.

Well, Rudd is playing Lennon. Someone couldn't turn down the charm of a celebrity performance! :funny:

I called the NYC sweep for NCFOM and the wins for TWBB in LA. :)

That would be hysterical, but considering the paucity of women's roles, it could be somewhat controversial. (For more than the obvious reasons)

I wondered about how people would've reacted if Wilson got nominated from Cast Away. Would people have found it very humorous and loved it, rooting for it to take home the Oscar? Or would they have been outraged and considered the Oscars a joke?
