30 Days of Night - 114 (42), +17 (+5), B-
The Comebacks - 77 (10), +13 (+1), B- (up from C+)
Gone Baby Gone - 41 (6), +7 (+0), A- (up from B+)
Rendition - 64 (13), +6 (+0), B
Sarah Landon and the Paranormal Hour - 23 (6), +8 (+4), C
Things We Lost in the Fire - 26 (1), +5 (+0), B

Doesn't look too hot for 30 Days of Night. I put its ratio at 90-100, a little lower than The Hill Have Eyes. Most of the others should be around that range too or lower, except for Sarah Landon. The raw reviews should give a pretty good comparison between the R-rated films.

30 Days does look a little soft. I was concerned about it with Saw IV around the corner, but was banking on fresh material bringing in an audience.

Come on 30 Days, you can disappoint, can't you? I believe in you, especially with Hartnett as the lead.

None of the films are setting the world on fire, and 30 Days may not even hit 400 reviews. Ouch.

What would that likely mean as far as box office?

Absolute best case would be a $5M Friday/$13-14M weekend. With a ratio of 100 (more likely), we'd be looking at about a $4M Friday. It seems MTC will be accurate with it.

Ok now i have come to a conclusion that hollywood should never release a horror R rated movie close to halloween because SAW movies come out that time.

In 2005 Doom was released before Saw 2 and the OW was very dissapointing and it died at boxoffice.

In 2006 Grudge 2 came out 2 weeks before and it flopped too.

Today 30 day of night came and online signs aren't looking good. It will get annihilated next weekend thanks to saw 4.

SAW 4 is a event horror movie franchise for horror fans and they skip all horror movies that release in the same month as saw 4.

$14M, which I initially believed to be too low.

30 days of night is not looking to good. I see it making a little over 4 million. That would give it around a 13-14 million weekend.

30 Days of Night has picked up some in the evening, but I agree with xiayun that $5M is a likely ceiling. I also see $2.0-2.5M for The Comebacks, $1.0-1.5M for Gone Baby Gone & Rendition, and $600-800K for Things We Lost in the Fire. Sarah Landon will be lucky to have a $200K day.

With all these films, at least one of the above may come in with an abnormally low ratio, so there is a little more hope.

With a $5M Friday (and it could be less), we are looking at a $13-14M weekend. It's unlikely to have a IM under 2.6.

If 5M is indeed the ceiling, and saying it won't increase on SAT. Then 15M can't happen.

30 Days of Night - 345 (91), +98 (+26), C+
The Comebacks - 269 (28), +63 (+8), C
Gone Baby Gone - 148 (25), +42 (+9), B
Rendition - 137 (27), +27 (+7), B- (up from C+)
Sarah Landon and the Paranormal Hour - 69 (13), +11 (+1), B- (up from C+)
Things We Lost in the Fire - 52 (7), +10 (+1), B

Thinking $5m for 30 Days of Night, $3m for The Comebacks, $2m for Gone Baby Gone and Rendition, $0.4m for Sarah Landon, and $0.6m for Things We Lost in the Fire.

I'll say it, that would be pretty much dreadful for every release, especially 30 Days of Night with the high expectations.

Is it a good/bad/indifferent sign for Saw IV that 30 Days is (most likely) disappointing?

I think $2 million is the ceiling for the Comebacks.
