Hmm, IMO Garden State got SNUBBED... imo of course. I mean, it had one of the BEST scores of any film ever, imo, and also had an EXCELLENT screenplay. Maybe it got overshadowed by Closer and Eternal

Spanglish Spanglish Spanglish,...could it just be that not enough people saw the film for it to be a big player at the Golden Globes?

From what I heard, James L Brooks just recently locked in a final print. I think it's possible that hardly anyone with the HFP even saw Spanglish.

I left comments. Bolded are ones I think will win, italicized are ones that I prefer win, and question marks are films that could win but I don't know enough about yet to make a good call.

One question, does Rossum do her own singing in Phantom? Because that is going to make a big difference in that category.

I am about 90% sure that she does, because the reason they picked her for the role was because she used to sing opera's

Like last year's lively award threads, I'll host the Golden Globes again, complete with running commentary and up to the minute results.

I hope we can beat the 18 GG pages last year or even the 47 pages for the Oscars.

As BFCA, Golden Globe will be shown tape-delayed on the west coast, and unlike BFCA, I'll resist checking results before watching it, so I won't be here from 5:00PM until 10:00PM PST on Sunday.

Same here.

It'll be aired on TV here as well with a delay. I'll see it then.

I thought it was, but apparently the one time I saw it, it wasn't. It is still the same night, though.

I still think it is live and even if not, what worries me much more is that I have to endure bloody Anke Engelkes moderation. It sooo sucks!
