Maximum number of allowed user defined folders reached.

Apparently I have created the max folders allowed for storing PM's, and now I cannot mark and move my PM's in my Inbox anywhere. Can the max folder limit be increased?

4 Full folders (4 is the max), so once my inbox gets full again I'll have nowhere to move them and I'll have to delete older ones to get any new ones. Which I don't want to do if it's preventable.

That's...a lot of them. I'd actually decrease the limit. :-)

800 in the 4 folders. Havent reached 200 in the inbox yet, wont for a few more weeks Id guess.

I like saving them so I can go back and re-read them. Kinda like letters. And some are more than simple convo's. Saving them to a word doc or something is also annoying since they wouldnt be individual messages. And no way am I saving so many as single word docs.

Is it a problem to increase the limit as long as the sites storage space or whatnot isnt affected? Like, I know that the tracking of user posts stops after 5000 because of something dealing with that.

Surely with 800+ messages, some of them are old enough to be deleted? That's a lot of space to give us in the first place, I couldn't fathom an increase. If you are really chatting that much through private messages with someone/people to the point that you are at now- then I would suggest moving those chats you have on over to MSN/AIM/Skype/etc. Much more efficient if you do your chatting there.

Peace,
Mike

Don't decrease the amount. The server can handle 1000 per, as most people don't use all the space anyways.

But don't increase it either. 1000 messages is enough to save any message of serious importance. I understand the need and desire to want to look back at old messages, but at some point you have to establish a cutoff. We simply don't have the space to be like GMail and allow endless saved messages.

Prioritize the messages, save what you need, delete others as needed to free up space.
