 Kids charged as adults
There has been some recent controversy about this topic. Do you think kids who commit crimes should be tried as adults? I remember awhile back, that a 10 or 11 year old shot someone, and was tried as an adult, which I think is wrong.
I dont think as a child, you have the full knowledge and intelligence to really know what you are doing when it comes to certain things....
Whatdo you all think?

Well under 15 I would agree with you, but older than that I would have to say they should be tried as adults. Their parents should be evaluated too, because what your child's behavior is, is a splitting image of what theirparents are like. If they weren't raised with morals or beliefs than it definitely shows in their children's actions.

No, it should not. And I don't think it should with kids under 18. They're hormones and emotions may cause them to do things they would have in no circumstance done when they were adults. That doesn't mean it's right, it just means it should be treated differently.

10 to 15 year olds are big Enough to know whats bad and whats not, and killing a person, c'mon!..now the kid is a sicko, even if it is an accident, they shouldnt be playing with guns or whatever
but also the parents should be envolved in this too

I think they should be tried as an adult since if there old enough to think like an adult and old enough to commit a crime like that of an adult and know fully well what there doing and getting themselves into ahead of time?? Then YES, Try them as an adult.. I mean this falls into the catagory I'm thinking of with the Columbine Incident.. Had those 2 of lived, they would've been tried as adults..

Yeah...ok, well there was a 6 year old who shot a little girl at school, bc he stole his dads gun. Should he be tried as an adult? Get the Death penalty...go to jail for life...cmon...
And right after this happend, the old fuckin asshole leader of the NRA, felt the need to come to this town to endorse the NRA, and people's right to have guns because is geezer ass was afraid of the backlash the NRA may recieve.

Good Question.. I feel kids in this day and age have more choices and the freedom to do alot more than what I had as a kid and are alot smarter than we give them credit for with being exposed to the things we have nowadays, especially when it comes to how violent our world has become... I say the drawing point for trying a kid as an adult would be 15 years of age..

I don't think anyone that age should be tried as an adult for murder. I don't believe anyone that age really knows the consequences of that behavior. They should be tried as a juvenile and given intensive therapy while at a juvenile facility.
I also realize that it's easy for me to say this because I've never lost a family member or been in that type of situation. I would probably want the head of the kid that killed someone in my family, but I honestly feel that a 10 year old is too young to be charged as an adult no matter what the circumstances.
