Already three from 2004. He was better in Shoot 'Em Up and American Splendor.

The last one of the first 10 (or is it the first one of the last 10?):
#91 Joaquin Phoenix, Gladiator (2000)
Pretty meh about all the performances in Gladiator, but at least it's toward the bottom.

The first person with two performances in, and the first one from the 50s:
#90 James Stewart, Vertigo (1958)

Re: WOKJ's 100 Greatest Performances: Live!
This second ten has been far more satisfying. Great classic performances and Russel Crowe's amazing turn in The Insider. And, also: Quote: Henry Fonda, The Grape of the Wrath (1940) lol I'm not sure what The Grape of the Wrath is. It's The Grapes of Wrath!

Yay for Travolta, Stewart, Fonda, Freeman and Pesci. And especially for Crowe in The Insider, first appearance of my top 20 (had him on #6) Ethan Hawke in Before Sunset.
