Tom Hanks in...Big? That better not be his highest ranked performance.

Hopkins as Lecter is too low.

Big (and Hanks in it) is so underrated right now... :nonono: I looove Big and I actually think he should have won the Oscar that year (he was against who.. Dustin Hoffman in Rain Man?)

Love the inclusions of Kidman's To Die For and Witherspoon's Election, but even I think they're way too high...

Big is a great movie.
Infact nearly all the age swap movie actors pull it off really well.

I'm sorry but no Reeves as Superman, Ford as Indiana Jones, hell not even Gregory peck as Atticus Finch.

Deeply flawed list.

Pretty good characters list. Only problem for me is Jeff Spicoli at #9, he's nothing more than a regular high-school stoner. Nothing special about that.

I have to laugh.. this list is overtly politcal... usually Nurse Ratchet in Cukoo's Nest is always in the top ten... and no John Wayne... tsk, tsk........

Malcolm McDowell needs to be wayyy higher on that list. He was absolutely brilliant as Alexander DeLarge. I'm shocked he wasn't even nominated for best actor that year.

You're actually wrong about that. Spicolli is the original highschool stoner. no one did it before him and it transcends a performance. If you were around in 82, you'd know why he is ranked that high. A great choice in my opinion.

99. Steve Martin as Navin Johnson in The Jerk (1979)
100. Malcolm McDowell as Alex DeLarge in A Clockwork Orange (1971)

The two bolded. Nice to see Masina getting acknowledgement for her acting. Highest ranked foreign language actor/actress of the list. That's surprising (on the part of this magazine), though I'll agree with her handling of the role and think its one of the best performances ever.

Wanted to point out Gong's high ranking. Only Chinese actor/actress to make the list. I can't wait until she gets the viewership here she deserves.

Here are the descriptions of the roles: http://www.premiere.com/article.asp?sec ... le_id=2692

Never, Depp was best in recent blockbusters. Its getting rare to see great acting in blockbuster as they rely more on special effects

Peter O'Toole as T.E. Lawrence in Lawrence of Arabia (1962)

Hmm, agrees but not #1 more like top ten. He was very good and he rode the camel in a very strange way.

How about Val Kilmer as Doc Holliday?
How about Sylvester stallone a Rocky?
