UPN has been advertising that VERONICA MARS reruns would be airing this summer but I was wondering if they would air the show in order, since for some stupid reason most shows don't get aired in order in the summer, and instead the episodes are all mixed up. I was thinking that if UPN was going to do this with VERONICA MARS they would be pretty damn stupid because a ton of people missed out on this great show by not checking it out right away, and then the great buzz grew for it more and more throughout the season, but a lot of people didn't want to start watching it after having missed some episodes. I know I myself hate watching a show if I can't see it all and from the beginning. So I decided to write UPN and find out just what was going on with this and if VERONICA MARS would have its first season aired in order this summer.

Even though I already saw all of the episodes and taped most all of them, I still think I will have my parents watch it each week while it airs and I'll even watch it with them. I am looking forward to seeing it all again and with a couple of people that haven't seen it yet. Everyone TELL YOUR FRIENDS!

We just got the first episode on CTV in Canada, and the second will air this Thursday. I can't wait to watch more of this show.

Fuck man. I just figured out that it's on the same night and time as the great show THE INSIDE. I guess I'll just have to record this.

Just great! UPN isn't going to air the show in order this summer. They will be airing the first episode on Tuesday night, but then the episode Wednesday night and the episodes the rest of the weeks won't be in order. They say it's because there wouldn't be enough time to air them all before the new season will start, but hello, you could air more than one a week! They are screwing over this show! This is so unfortunate. It's letting many down. I guess you won't get to watch the first season in order until you buy the first season when it hits close to when the second season starts or if you download/burn them all.

Well I e-mailed UPN to rant and hopefully someone will take notice! I highly doubt it but I had to try and I wanted to get it off my chest.

Here is what I said:

I'm VERY angry that UPN isn't going to air the show in order this summer. I know you say there wouldn't be enough time to air all 22 episodes but you just air it twice a week or so, whatever it takes to air them all in order. The second season is going to have it up against LOST, which is a big hit show. One I could care less about and I'll be watching VERONICA MARS, but if you don't give people the chance to see the first season of VM in order this summer then how can it be expected to increase in ratings for the second season and with such big competition? I'm sure it will some, but not by much if it's not aired in order this summer. This is letting many down and it's false advertising saying you can see it from the beginning when it's not all of the episodes. This is UPN's most buzzed about show and with TV ratings sucking so much this summer because of the reruns many don't have anything worthy to watch and would kill for the chance to watch the first season of VERONICA MARS in order this summer. Airing it out-of-order is kind of stupid. You can't get any new viewers doing that because people aren't going to want to watch the first season if they can't see every episode in order. Airing all of the episodes of this show in order this summer would have been a great success and would have helped it out quite a bit for the second season. I wouldn't have been surprised if it was able to keep the same amount of viewers it had while it originally aired had you aired it in order. But not doing this isn't going to help it out much. Someone please change your minds and do right by this great show! I wouldn't have minded watching the first season again this summer and would have had tons of others that hadn't yet seen it watch it, but I won't be watching now and I won't be showing anyone until it's on DVD, and by that time the second season will be starting and if they're not done watching the first season when that starts they aren't going to want to watch the second season. They probably wouldn't finish the first season until a few episodes of the second season have aired and then they won't want to watch the second season because they'll already have missed some so they'll wait until it hits DVD or something.

I say start airing two or three episodes a week as long as it's in order! Otherwise this poor show doesn't stand much of a chance. It's a great show that many would love if they'd have another chance to see it. And now would be the perfect time because nothing else is on!

At the very least you should have a couple of marathons on the weekend with all episodes shown in order or have another channel air them. This isn't as good an idea as just airing two or three episodes a week from the beginning but since you're strangely and unfortunately not doing that this is the only real hope because it will be coming to DVD too late to help it much in the second season.

I'm begging you, please do something! I will be blaming UPN if this show ends up not catching on in the second season and gets cancelled. It has potential and it's being thrown away!
