You have to lead in to a new show like that. It should have stayed behind aprentice. It was doomed on Tuesday at 930 ... who stays up that late to watch a comedy ... plus its competition ... horrid (barely 5.0) lead in. It was doomed before it ever started.
That's a moot point, comedies have been hits at 9:30 for years (even today, look at
Two and a Half Men). However, having
Scrubs as a lead-in for
The Office was not a good idea.
Scrubs is probably not strong enough to anchor an hour. I think NBC should've swapped
Scrubs with
Will & Grace, honestly. It wouldn't have been that great (given how fast
Joey and
Will & Grace are sinking), but it might've been better.
NBC really needs a strong slate of comedies to rebuild their slate. Not one of their four sitcoms is a hit, which is not good news.
