Either they are only considering her for 1230 or she is their back up if they can't get Colbert.

CBS would be nuts to go after Handler for 11:30. 12:30 maybe, but she's horrible, and her ratings were pretty much in the toilet.

As interesting as it would be to have a woman on a network in late night, it shouldn't be her.

And I'm not sure about either Stewart or Colbert. You'd think with the move CBS would try to pass both of the Jimmy's. I'm not sure if that would happen considering it'd turn most conservatives off (like Letterman). Their personalities would have to be much different, and at that point, what would be the point in getting them?

I don't think it'll be Conan, even if it makes the most sense at this point (CBS probably wants to move it to L.A.). Maybe he gets a shot since Leno won't be hanging over his show? Then again his ratings aren't great on TBS.

The more and more I read, the more and more I'm certain Colbert is going to take over. And I'm certain it will be fantastic because Colbert is *probably* the smartest late night host on TV.

I think it is a great move by CBS. Colbert can beat Fallon. He is easily way more talented and funnier.

If Craig were to be moved I'm wondering where he would go. He could work on Comedy Central possibly in Colbert's spot.

Out of those, after Kimmel would be best. I doubt Arsenio and Craig's audiences would match up and E! just would be a horrible move.

I think this is mildly better news for Craig. Will Chelsea Handler really go for The Late Late Show? I have to imagine her ego would feel that's a demotion.

Colbert and Craig back-to-back would be awesome. I think it could honestly serve as the smarter, funnier alternative to the Fallon/Meyers duo.

The more I think about it, the more I think it would be a monumental mistake to hire Chelsea Handler. No way would she succeed. Her brand of humor was best-suited for E!

Agree Colbert/Craig combo would be great. I do hope Craig stays on - he is the most entertaining out there.

Colbert is going to be a complete bore. Maybe Ferguson could go HBO, he'd be awesome with a little more freedom like when Miller was on it, and get rid of Bill why they are at it.

If they were really smart they'd bring back Jon Favreau and Dinner for Five. A show like that could really kill and spice late night TV up if a show like that was given a larger scale.

Apparently CBS made a statement that they're big fans of Ferguson and that their priority was 11:30... for now.

I don't have a good feeling. And I don't think he has a large enough following to get a new gig elsewhere that isn't a second or third-tier network.

So I gave Fallon and Meyers a few more watches last week. Fallon is treading into unbearable territory for me again. I'm just kind of sick of the viral moments he goes for, rather than an overall solid product. He's had five years to hone his interview skills and he still sucks at it. Even Meyers greatly improved his monologue in only a matter of days.

Meyers is only better because I find him more likable, but he's relying too much on Weekend Update-style bits that aren't working on Late Night. His monologue is good, definitely a million times better than his first week, and I still laugh at his interactions with Fred, but any time his writers play characters, it comes off as weak at best but mostly awful.

Maybe I'm spoiled after FINALLY watching Ferguson, who blows everyone out of the water for me, but I'm ready for Colbert to slay Fallon and hopefully Fergy to stay at TLLS.

The writing was on the wall, but sadly Ferguson is leaving in December.

I am sure he will find a comfortable home elsewhere.

That sucks, now there is no reason to ever watch CBS again.
