Re: VERONICA MARS
I will be getting the book. Only reason I didn't yet is because my Birthday is in a bit over a week and I think I might end up getting it for my Birthday. If not I will be buying it. I actually want to listen to the audio book at the same time. Kristen Bell herself reads it!
And yes, the ending, while it would be great for a season finale, is absolutely frustrating as a series finale. It's haunting. One of my friends I made watch the series before the movie said she would have been pissed at me if I had made her watch it before there was a movie . She said she totally understood why fans were so mad.
I still think Season 3 is really fun though. The writing, characters, and acting are as great as they'd always been, IMO.

I always thought the Season 3 finale worked as a series ender too, if you're into unhappy endings. It felt appropriate. If I recall (it's been a while), Veronica and Keith were back to being outcasts, which made sense.

It was just really melancholy. Semi-beautiful but haunting and not where I wanted to leave these characters.

Even back then cancellation barely made sense. They should've given it at least a 13 episode season 4 order. Dawn was a horrible TV runner.

Veronica Mars movie HBO ad:
Totally dig it.
This has been consistently all checked out at my video store this week. For a while after the first month it was mostly all in with one being rented here and there. I think having the TV seasons next to it on the new release wall scared some people off, thinking they HAD to watch the show in order to watch the movie. Pretty sure the sudden surge in rentals is due to ads running for it on HBO. That tends to happen when shows make their cable debuts, or once they appear on Netflix Instant oddly enough. I'm hoping people who catch the movie on cable for free will get interested in checking out the show and come in and rent that. Though honestly the show rents quite well and there are usually a couple different people going through the discs at a time. Sometimes we have notes on the counter of people who want us to call them when the disc they're waiting for is returned.

I NEED this to happen. The movie cannot be the last we see of Veronica Mars. Hopefully a limited series would turn into more. Glad to hear Rob Thomas and Kristen Bell are considering this. LOVE this series and character.

Bubble-bursting time: just because Rob and Kristen are "eyeing" it, doesn't mean a network is. I'll reserve my hope, especially considering how fortunate we were to get a movie.

They were saying they'd want to do it at like Netflix or something. If they wanted to do it for sure someone would gladly pick it up. Really don't see them having an issue there.

Well damn that was a heavy ending to the season. Though the good news is that it must mean that multiple seasons are planned. They can’t just
