Re: "Glee" Thread
It's going to be very weird not seeing him on the show this fall - even though he played kind of a lesser role in the fourth season he's still a major face of the show and the whole Finn/Rachel relationship was very important to its backbone. There's obviously nothing they can do about it, but I'm just very curious as to where they are going to take things.
I hope Lea continues as Rachel and Santana are my favorite characters, but it's completely understandable if she wouldn't want to.
I do actually think this could be handled well and emotionally in an episode after thinking about it. I read an article today discussing how it was the best course of action partially because of the fact that so many younger people identify with this show and the fanbase is very young overall. It could be beneficial to fans to have that closure. It also makes the most sense story-wise to kill him off as it would be a disservice to the fans if they just wrote him off haphazardly.
I would do a tribute episode and then let Screaming white chick decide if she wants to be part of it or not.

Darren cancelled all his promotional appearances for Girl Most Likely it seems. He was supposed to be on "Kelly and Michael" as well as "GMA" today but I believe Matt Dillon went in his place for both. He did attend the premiere of the film last night wearing a black ribbon to show respect.

.
I think they should be ballsey and do something to get the edge going on the pretty tired Glee after so many seasons. How about a Murder Mystery like Who Killed JR? As there are plenty of people who could have Murdered Finn, especially for Kissing the teachers wife and beating up Lea's Boyfriend. So was it the teacher, the Teachers wife, the Boyfriend, the cheerleader coach among so many other possibilities. As so many people had issues with Finn in past seasons.

Can't tell if serious. That would be in horrible, horrible, HORRIBLE taste. Just no.

It also wouldn't fit the tone of the series, like, at all.

I would be absolutely shocked if this wasn't pushed back until at least November now with the news about the cause of death. it's just too devastating.
And I'm truly starting to doubt if Lea will come back at all.

Ummmm, it might be cruel, but this is good for the show. Finn has been a horrible character for a while. They should have gotten rid of him a long time ago.

Ryan Murphy breaks his silence. Also, it does indeed sound like Lea is staying and is going to be in the first few episodes. The third episode is the one dealing with Finn's death.

I really expected this to be pushed back more than one week. I thought it would be a couple of months.

This starts production again on Monday. Lea and some cast members are doing a new promo shoot today and tomorrow.
Also, at the TCAs today FOX confirmed that 5 and 6 will be the last seasons of the show.

Thank god.
I really hope they handle Monteith's death tastefully. Knowing this show, they're gonna hit us over the freaking head with it.

They already announced that the entire cast is doing PSAs to air during commercial breaks. I'm curious to see how it is handled as well.

The show won Best Comedy Series at the Teen Choice Awards tonight and Lea won Best Comedy Actress - she made a surprise appearance that was her first in public since all this happened.
Very sad and heartfelt I certainly feel for her.

Returns tonight with the first half of its two-part Beatles tribute episode.
By the way, I don't think this show ever ended up taking a 'long hiatus' from filming after the Monteith episode like Ryan Murphy said originally. They're definitely still working on it right now as Demi Lovato and Naya Rivera have been filming scenes and Lea Michele was in NYC two weeks ago shooting exteriors as well.

I finally finished the last season last week. It was a bit of a chore to sit through. Was watching it on and off throughout the summer. Can't say I'm excited for its return but I'll be watching. Annoyed they didn't just move this show to New York. Fuck McKinnley .

Premiere was OK. I'm kind of sick of this show though. Just two more seasons! I can finish this!
Is Demi Lovato supposed to be Santana's love interest? She's on starting next week and that's what it looked like from the previews.

Since they (stupidly IMO) decided to do the Beatles thing first, what's the story reason for Finn not being in the last scene?
