Revelations made a little dent, anyway.

Stacked is much better than Life on a Stick. It should get better ratings. Life on a Stick is an awful holdover from American Idol. Simple Life did much better after American Idol than Life on a Stick.

Life on a Stick's problem is the exagerated characters. The show can be funny, but it's overshadowed by the characters. Stacked is from Steven Levitan, so of course it's going to be funny. Nothing spectacular, but it has potential, despite Pamela Anderson as the lead.

Stacked declined just 8% from last week and is still building heavily on its leadin.
Furthermore; Revelations dropped heavily this week, down to 11 million from like 15.8m
Also: Alias isn't doing great without its Lost lead in adn against Idol; really i still dont understand what the point is in advertising a series so heavily , having great ratings, then doing all the meaty bits when AI airs head to head...
However it SHOULD be noted that even when "Lost" screens new episodes, Alias usually does better in its second half hour.

Lost had a 3.1 rating in the 18-49 demo, and Alias was up to a 3.2. Not amazing at all, but still noteworthy. Mostly thanks to Idol being a half-hour.

JAck and Bobby is the BEST SHOW NO ONE IS WATCHING!!!!!
Last night's episode was nothing short of absolutely spectacular. Among the finest acting ALL YEAR.
This show just keeps punching these amazing storylines and it really, REALLY is an outrage that no one is watching.
I think ALIAS did decent with LOST still in repeats. It's really really funny how they messed up the whole show to get high ratings and they did, but right when they were expecting new viewers to jump in to the core of ALIAS by returning to alot of season 1-3 storylines the viewership went down almost as bad as ALIAS has ever been.

Stacked is a terrible show, but I actually like it for some campy reason :???:
Alias has lost (no pun intended) a lot of steam in the ratings since January. The show itself has also lost the "It"-Factor it once had.

Raffiki, I completely agree with you about JACK AND BOBBY! I've been watching it from the beginning and it's one of the best shows on television. I love it! All the acting is nothing short of spectacular. It better get a second-season pickup!

I [obviously] have a problem with that. And the implication that Alias "sold out" to get new viewers; what, by trying to move on from everything that everyone complained about last year and revive the heart of the show?
Alias is in its strongest season yet ratings wise, criticially and in my opinon, its the most fun the shows been since season one; although i miss Lena Olin alot. Alias fans have spent so much time around other Alias fans; chatting about the show, and raising expectations way higher than its ever achieved [and since Alias is the nearest thing to perfection on tv; no show will ever achieve] and then they whine that its failing in x department, that it ignored season 3 , it dosent have enough cliffhangers etc. [Newsflash, no one watched season three; and those who did are the same people who are moaning about this season, .] Im personally overjoyed this seasons been so freaking good so far, i felt let down after last seasons teenage melodrama, it all started to feel like an episode of The O.C, with guns. This year gets back to the silly fun that makes Alias so refreshing and watchable. It seems to find a balance in characters we care about and kickass, hollywood action sequences. Alias has refreshed my memory as to why i started watching it. And after my shaken faith last year, im so glad it did.
Its steam has been lost due to a deadly double - no new episodes of "Lost" to help it on a regular basis thanks to a massive chunk of repeats, and of course, the head to head compition with the top rated show on network television.
Add the surprising of Revelations into the mix, and im surprised Alias has actually held so well.
I can only hope it couples with Lost in September this year, but it looks unlikely with Garner's hectic film schedule; which sees her basically walk off the set of Alias and onto the set of Catch and Release. Even with Idol head to head, Alias is building on lost repeats in the vital areas, and it increases in its second half hour; even with its Lost inheritance. With new episodes of Lost , its next to House and Greys Anatomy as one of the best holders of audience out there. "Alias" and "24" are the two biggest cult shows out there; they require a non traditional audience willing to immerse themselves in the twisty storylines over a matter of years; 24 is admittedly more pick up & play than Alias has ever been, even with its new format, but the fact that these two shows have solid audiences in the top 25 of the nielsens is something that fans could have only dreamed of a few years back; when 24 looked like it would fold if they moved it from American Idol, and Alias was struggling to breathe on Sundays.
American Idol supported "24" long enough to give it a substantial following, now ABC's done the logical thing by coupling "Alias" with "Lost", its a formula thats helped its Wednesday ratings literally roar upwards, saved "Alias" from last seasons nailbitting cancellation watch, and with Alias, Lost, Desperate Houswives & Greys Anatomy under its belt ABC has firmly established itself as the new founding father of fresh, exciting drama.

Creator J.J. Abrams reinvented the series two years ago because he said he felt "trapped" by the formula, and claimed that the change would bring new viewers to the program. Now, the new set-up, with Sydney actually working for Sloan ( :???: ) and her former coleagues from SD-6, is pretty much identical to where the whole thing began. And, repetition aside, the fact that Sydney would voluntarily work for Sloan -- the man who murdered her fiance -- is absurd.
Alias has also abandoned it's intricate plot lines (Rambaldi? The Alliance?) in favor of more simplistic, digestable episodes. Even the opening credits have lost it's edge, opting to show flashes of Jennifer Garner in skimpy get-ups instead of the stylish black with electric-white credits. The loss of all of this is a bit alienating and, without more complex stories, the repetitive formula of Sydney kicking some ass is a bit dull.
