How I Met Your Mother: Season 3 (Suit up!)
Yes, I know me and like three other people in the country watch this show. But I don't care. It's brilliance.
Anyway, it premieres for season #3 tonight. I'm very excited.

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 3 (Suit up!)
I friend of mine said that this would probably be a hit if it was on any other network. Alas, the CBS audience meets this show with indifference, while the show's potential audience meets CBS with indifference. Still, apparently the main reason it was renewed was that it's the only show on CBS to have a majority of viewers under 35. Like, really.
But yeah, I'm totally watching this tonight. Mandy Moore as a crazy chick, whoo!

But yeah, I'm totally watching this tonight. Mandy Moore as a crazy chick, whoo! I disagree with the "it would be a hit on any other network" bit... If anything, CBS is the only network sitcoms can survive on at all. Fox would've cancelled it after like 5 episodes. Anyways, I like HIMYM, but not as much as Libs. It's a solid B sitcom, nothing more nothing less. I think where it falters is the characters as people aren't really as involving as they should be, I don't really care for where the storylines are going. The show works best when it doesn't even attempt the overall stuff and just goes for pure stand-alone gag, and even then, I'm hardly slapping my knees laughing. But I'll watch.

Does CBS still do that Innertube thing because I have class when it's on?

I actually TiVoed the premiere for Mandy Moore and will watch it later. If it's easy to follow and I enjoy it I might continue to record it.

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 3 (Suit up!)
Hahah loved it. And Mandy Moore was really funny, if a little underused.
I loved the slap countdown! Funny nod to continuity, and a lovely reference to this show's all-time best episode.
My only complaint is that I don't like Alyson Hannigan's new bangs. She looked cuter last season. She still looks good, though.
To all of you who are just getting into it, keep watching! The show really grows on you quickly, and it needs all the viewers it can get.

Except it doesn't really matter if you're not a Nielsen Family (Who is, that's what I'd like to know). The show isn't strong enough to anchor the night, that's for sure.

I hope I am not getting tired of this show as I liked it last year but Mandy Moore was the best thing in this tonight.

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 3 (Suit up!)
Can't Mandy Moore just join the cast full-time? It's not like she's doing anything better with her career. I also think it'd give the show kind of a spark past the original 5.
Or Alyson Hannigan's husband Alexis Denisof could join up. He's already guested a few times actually, though I haven't seen the episodes. He's badass.
Oh well, heh.

Anyway, it premieres for season #3 tonight. I'm very excited. I watched season 1, but they moved time on me for season 2, and now I am just out of the loop. I miss NPH.

Ahhhh you should start watching it again! Search the Internet for the season 2 episode "Slap Bet." It is one of the funniest things ever (ever!)

Re: How I Met Your Mother: Season 3 (Suit up!)
This show always seems like it has potential that it's just not reaching. I think it needs 2 or 3 regular supporting characters. It all feels too skimpy with just 5 leads and no recurring supporting cast.
I'm not trying to slam the show, I just wish it would tinker with things and become a hit. It's more deserving than 2 and a half men.

I know that's a weird criticism, light is great... But the way the 5 talk, it's all super light banter and nothing else. Kind of hard to explain, but yeah.
