 After Alias.
After Alias, television has become a bleak place for me.
I seriously can list all of the shows ive watched.
Desperate Housewives. Season 1, 2. Some of Season 3
Lost Season 1
Heroes Season 1
Brothers and Sisters. A few episodes.
Ugly Betty. A few episodes.
My Name is Earl. A few episodes.
Everything else ive only caught one or two episodes of.
Television blows since Alias left. Lost crashed and burned and i tuned in for the much hyped season 3 finale which i found utterly disappointing. Desperate Housewives has been great, the only reason ive missed this season was because of uni. Will catch up for sure.
LOVE LOVE LOVE Heroes. But the finale was a let down and im not really hyped about the shows future now.
Brothers and Sisters is too slow for me and Calista Flockhearts face is distracting.
Ugly Betty is great. But its very much "Don't really care if i miss it" sort of viewing. Fun when i watch it, but i'm not dedicated.
My name is Earl lost its novelty for me very quickly.
And there we have it. In the post alias tv viewing landscape im struggling to find my groundings.
Heroes has been the best thing since. Desperate Housewives is pretty great, and i've been looking at a few Veronica Mars episodes here and there. But when you set the bar as high as Alias did, television just seems dull afterwards.

Never got into Alias but when I say what shows I watch, pretty much on my hand I can count them.
Ones that arent in syndication.
Housewives
Bros & Sis
American Idol
Big Brother
24(though not this season)
and sometimes some stragglers
Friends is my main show still.

After the first six episodes of the third Lost season, I thought I really would lose my interest in the show very quickly. I wasn't even looking forward to its return back in February.
However, it rebounded like no other show has ever before to me. I've never anticipated a season of any show as much as I anticipate the fourth Lost season.

I just find lost to be very obvious and manipulative.
I don't care about its characters which i feel are very cardboard cutout despite the flashbacks.
I really just think that Heroes and Desperate Housewives have been the only shows that come close to the twisty goodness of Alias. TV is so lazy these days.

I agree, at least, that the first season of Alias ruled like no other!
