The Knights of Prosperity Thread (Premieres Tonight)
Supposedly the best comedy of the fall finally premieres tonight in an amazing whimper. This points to a brisk cancellation, but I figured I should at least remind everyone that it's on. I've seen previews, and it looks like pretty funny, and I enjoyed Donal Logue in Grounded for Life (Yes I watched that, pretty funny when I was young), so I'll at least give it a shot.

I liked it. I wouldn't call the premiere flat out hilarious, but I think it can build into something pretty good if it's given the time. I'll watch again next week.

I heard that Mick Jagger doesn't even want to do the show anymore. Is that true? I don't think the concept could have lasted longer than a season anyway, if that, but it would suck if he won't do any more episodes.
I saw the pilot a while back, so I don't know if any changes were made. It's a lesser version of My Name is Earl really. I think it will do less than Earl numbers, and maybe survive the season. Maybe. I'm just curious how they'll push the show without Mick Jagger, if that rumor is true, as I'm assuming it was the main selling point for the series to a wide audience.

I have no idea about the history of the show, but from the previews it makes it seem like they are going after more than one celebrity. Based on the premiere, it looks like it could be a new celebrity every two episodes.

I liked it a lot. Burnett and co. definitely have a comedy style all their own, even if this isn't as good as Ed.
I find the comparisons to My Name is Earl odd. If I watch an episode of Earl, my eyes and ears are always bleeding at the end. Knights didn't do that.

Both star bumbling losers with a dream of doing something big.
And there's a chick with an accent.
The comparisons are endless!!
