 The Griping and Nitpicking Thread
AKA the Bitchfest thread, I couldn't decide on a title.
Here you can gripe about shows all you want and not disturb the happy users of the main threads devoted to those shows.

Studio 60: why the fuck are they having the talented and beautiful Lucy Davis, who is a better and more watchable actress than any of the female leads, and using her in a bit part where she gets like 2 lines a week. For those who blinked and missed it, she was one of the writers in the writers' room near the start when the head writer was asking them to come up with 90 seconds of material.
Who was it on the writing staff that thought Juliette Lewis and Holly Hunter impersonations were cutting edge comedy? If this show wants to survive, at least if it wants to survive for a reason other than the network sucking up to Sorkin, it needs to update the cultural references fast.
The skits are so unfunny they are better off just going back to not showing any of them as in the premiere episode.
Lost: this was the week I stopped watching, and now the people in the Lost thread are making it sound like it was one worth seeing. Sigh. Must....resist....

Grey's Anatomy should burn as should every single reality show currently on TV.

My Name is Earl needs to make a decision of whether it wants to be a shmaltzy family show, or a show aimed at adults. If it's the former, they should add a laugh track, if the latter, then Earl should drink, smoke and do other things more in character and get rid of the stupid final credits scenes where they lay there like 10 year olds.

Earl and Randy are family show characters trapped in adult settings and situations. It sucks, but I don't mind.

I like My Name is Earl because its not mean spirited at all while featuring weird freaks and underdogs. There seems to be a positive message about the show but retains its humor too

Bring Back Futurama
It was a unique cartoon and definately funnier than the Simpsons but what makes the cartoon unique is the writers are able to incorporate alot of emotional scenes that almost makes you sob like the very talked about Jurassic Bark and also the end Luck of the Fryish and Leela's Homeworld. They dont really make cartoons like this in america

But on Cartoon Network. The positive is that it will most definitely find a permanent spot on CN's schedule. The negative is a smaller budget and fewer episodes per season. Although, on FOX, it might not be as lucky as Family Guy was to find an audience after resurrection.

They should just spin off Bender, he was the only really funny thing on it anyway. Benderama, that'd work.

Didnt Comedy Central outbid the Cartoon Network over the rights for new Futurama?

Hmm, you're right. Okay, just substitute "Cartoon Network" for "Comedy Central". And you can probably substitute "smaller budget" with "no budget".

Still fine by me since Comedy Central has great shows like South Park and Reno 911. Besides moving Sliders from Fox to sci-fi didnt seem to hurt the show

British Office fan? Awesome.
Anyway, I too really wish they would actually use her for something. She's too good for this. Maybe she should actually guest star on the American Office like they were rumoring a while back. Or she should join Veronica Mars as a foriegn exchange student. That'd be awesome.

Good points. Although, South Park takes a matter of a week or two to complete an episode, whereas the norm for Futurama is 9 months.

What? Is that some typo? 9 months for an episode...that can't be right.

speaking of which, a conflict on the Korean peninsula could doom our animated shows.

The Simpsons takes 9 months to make I believe, and I would assume Futurama is no different. Of course they do multiple episodes at a time to meet the 22-episode per-season deadline of the TV networks.

Well, The Simpsons and King of the Hill will be no major loss. They have loads of good episodes from better years to keep us entertained. Are there any others that I'm forgetting? ... don't think so...
FAMILY GUY AND AMERICAN DAD!!!

Lucy Davis also made a brief appearance in last week's episode of "Ugly Betty", which is kinda cool because Ashley Jensen (the leading lady alongside Ricky Gervais in his other Britcom, "Extras") is a co-star on the Betty.
