ABC is better off putting Grey's Anatomy repeats at 10PM. That's really bad for 6 Degrees. Abc would win the night if it wasn't for that piece of s...

Ugly Betty dipped just a little but is still doing very well. It's easily the funnest show to watch and enjoy this season and I hope it keeps steady and brings in 13-14+ million viewers from now on.
Shark, Ugly Betty, and Brothers and Sisters are the highest rated new shows of the fall I presume, followed by Heroes and a bit later, Jericho. And that seems to be it.
Grey continues its lead over CSI by a comfortable margin. I wonder if we'll get any repeats from either until November.
Last year, Grey had like 27 episodes I think... I wonder if they'll do the same this year to keep the momentum going.

That could have been because of the length of season 1.

Yep. Season 1 was originally 13 episodes, but only 9 aired. The remaining four carried over into Season 2. But, I wouldn't be surprised if ABC picked up 24-25 episodes of Season 3, with one two-hour episode or something.

Goooooo Grey's. I guess CSI beating it in week 2 was mostly due to the Canada mix-up.
Go Ugly Betty too.
Six Degrees continues to be embarassing, I wonder how long ABC is going to keep it there.

Hmmm, I wonder if anyone in New York watched the NLCS last night? Hopefully once the playoffs end Earl and The Office can get some of those viewers.

What Canada mix-up? Did CBS include Canadian ratings in their numbers to make it look like CSI won the night?

Some Canadian network aired the second episode instead of the first, so there were torrents out the whole week before the episode. Of course, the number of people who even know what torrents are wouldn't account for that. More likely, it was the fact that the Grey's premiere sucked, and the second episode was better.

That is SUPERB for ER!
From SBD:
NBC'S E.R. ON THE MEND
Thursday, October 12 2006
After a sudden resurgence in the ratings for NBC's E.R., the network has decided not replace it at mid-season with a new drama titled The Black Donnellys. "I will confirm that E.R. is not going to go away until the spring," NBC Entertainment President Kevin Reilly told today's (Thursday) New York Times. "We are going to keep E.R. in its time period for at least 22 episodes this season," he said. Indeed, the newspaper observed, NBC is likely to expand the series to 24 or 25 episodes. The Times said that previously the network's strategy had been to get through the current season with a limited number of shows, then blow the series off after next season. However, executive producer David Zabel told the newspaper, "As long as we can keep doing what we're doing, I don't see any reason the show can't keep going on."
I think its a combo of GA on before it, as well as what is a fresh and re-energized cast...

Heh. The ER thing is just weird. I mean, I think it's cool that it's doing well, since I actually do still think it's a solid show, but it's weird.
The GA explanation is all I can think of, as well. I guess it just puts people in a... medical sort of mood.

How come no one has mentioned the obvious absense of Without a Trace in the time period?
And the numbers haven't gone up THAT much. Last year to got 13.61M viewers, only 760,000 viewers less than last night. So?

Yeah, that's the reason it has gone up.
ER is, and probably will be until the day it ends, a bankable utility player for NBC
It just seems more like it's doing well because it's winning the time period for the first time in forever

ER stayed on the air so long that doctor shows came back in style again.

Thanks for your awe-inspiring contributions of saying that over and over again, I know everyone else who likes the show really finds it endearing.

Obviously if they like the show they find it endrearing. Otherwise they wouldn't like it, yanno?
But it still sucks
