TV shows you pretended to like -- but you really didn't?
Was there ever a tv show in your childhood that you pretended to like? But, in reality, you didn't?
I felt this way about "The Simpsons." I remember when it was in it's mass popularity -- early 90's. I never really enjoyed the show, but acted like I did because everyone did. I was in grammar school.
Anyone else ever done this?
Fresh Prince of Belair (sp?) was another.

Not just a childhood phenomenon for me. I still do it.
Through the years:
The Brady Bunch
Happy Days
Full House
Beverly Hills 90210
Home Improvement
American Idol

How can you pretend to like American Idol? That's a show you pretend to dislike.
Lost fits this thread perfectly, at least for me.

I don't think I've ever pretended to like a show. Why would you pretend? To fit in? Seems dangerous to me. Sooner or later, questions will be asked that you can't answer.
On the other hand, I always pretend to hate American Idol, but I watch it every season.

Never pretended to like any show I actually didn't.
