Post The Starter Wife
Is anyone going to watch this 6-hour miniseries, starring Debra Messing (with an eclectic supporting cast including Joe Mantegna, Judy Davis, Miranda Otto and Anika Noni Rose) as the jilted former wife of a Hollywood studio exec?

Reviews were decent, from what I read, especially for Messing.

Well, anyway, it's on the USA Channel right now (it premiered at 9 EST). I kind of forgot about it until just now, but hopefully I'll get around to watching a rerun.

So. Anyone?

Hmmz. Maybe I'll catch a repeat, and if I like it I'll get a season pass.

I know it's lame, but I'm kinda excited for the Kirstie Alley Lifetime movie that's airing Sunday.

I had no idea it was a two hour premiere tonight....

Anyway, I watched it and thought it was very interesting with promise of getting better with the next four episodes.

Messing and Judy Davis are both very, very good.

I'd say it's worth a watch.

I didn't know it was tonight. I want to watch it. I'll have to catch a repeat.

It's a mini series? I was under the impression it was a new series in general. Did the actors decide not to come back for another season/half season or something?

Same here. I thought it was a new real series. On a major network.

Well USA has been pimping it for like 6 months, I would have thought it would be something more than a mini series.

It's a mini-series now, but they have the option of picking it up for a full series order if it does well ratings-wise.

Anyways, I want to watch it since I love Messing. I'll catch a rerun sometime.

Just watched the first three hours and they were very good. This show is a lot of fun and very enjoyable throughout. Debra Messing is incredibly charming and charismatic here.

So that ended in a way where it really couldn't continue. I liked it a lot and wish there'd been more episodes, but oh well.

I finally finally finally recorded every episode (including the final one airing tonight) on one tape, so hopefully I'll get around to seeing it this weekend.

I missed the fifth hour and still need to watch that before watching the finale.
