Of note, this is the first time an original Grey's Anatomy has increased out of an original Desperate Housewives.

Wow!

Congratulations to Grey's Anatomy. It has improved by leaps and bounds since it debuted, and seems to have picked up viewers. (I think) Well deserved!

Oh wow. Congrats to Grey's Anatomy. I wonder if it can stay on top of Housewives now or at least pull in the same numbers. Anyone think its average could surpass Housewives' by the end of the season and claim the 4th spot?

Wow.

I think this might just be a fleeting thing, post-Super-Bowl watchers carrying over to the next week, but it'd be cool if it weren't.

The numbers for Desperate Housewives are a little lower than usual though -- probably due to the Olympics -- so I'm not so sure if the trend will continue.

Awesome for GREY'S ANATOMY. It likely won't stay above HOUSEWIVES anymore now, but it would be cool if it could. I think it should at least be close behind.

Great for Grey's Anatomy. The show has now officially surpassed Desperate Housewives in terms of quality so I hope Grey's Anatomy continues with these great ratings. If ABC were to move Grey's Anatomy to a new night it would perform great on its own.

I think ABC just might want to do that... move Grey's Anatomy to jump start another series.
Although, I don't think it would be a good idea. It's a really good 10pm show and moving it to any other 10pm slot would do nothing, so they'd move it to 9pm on some night (dare I think thursdays?). but, I think it won't be such a smart move. Leave it where it is and keep the powerhouse combo. They work so well together. Look at Lost and Invasion :|

As far as quality goes. I think Grey's Anatomy was always ahead of Housewives in quality this season... until recently. Desperate Housewives is back into full swing and although overall Anatomy's second season will ahve been better, from here on out it looks like they'll be neck-n-neck, both quality and ratings wise.

I don't think Grey's Anatomy will dip too much from now on. It might slowly decrease, but it's assured to bring in more than before. It will be a pretty big improvement over Season 1 and that is pretty much a huge feat on its own considering Season 1 didn't have any repeats to bring its average down and only aired 9 episodes in the end of the season which brought it great ratings.

Desperate Housewives is lower than usual. Next week is going to be really interesting.
and is it just me or is Home Edition also a tad lower? How are the Olympics doing compared to 2002?

Smart move making it a two-part episode, but I doubt it will continue to out-rate the Housewives. It'll just be a lot closer from now on.
