I hope Veronica beats One Tree Hill's ass each week when OTH premieres...
It's a good number considering it goes against Lost, but I'd like to see at leas 3/something

Good, I'm glad I got this in before I had to leave for awhile today. Pretty sharp decline for Invasion.

Decent ratings for "Criminal Minds" opposite "Lost." It's yet another intriguing new crime drama with superb writing. "Invasion" garnered less than desirable returns this week and I can see why. It just isn't very entertaining (It moves far too slow).

Glad to see Lost held up well. Not surprised on Invasion, it looks like slapped together crap with 4th rate actors.

Looks like ABC won't be able to continue touting Invasion as 'the most-watched show of the new season' if things keep up. I still haven't seen it. Don't really plan on it, though.
How in the world is Top Model doing so well? Extra Tyra Banks publicity?
And uh-oh for Martha.

Wow big drop for Invasion. Its ratings dont look any better than Surface. I doubt it will be renewed next season either. It also is pretty boring and I cant believe Shaun Cassidy produced it when he gave us the more far superior American Gothic
So far this season hasnt given us any new shows that are breakout hits like Lost and Desperate Housewife were last year. Maybe Commander in Chief but I will see how it will fare next tuesday

Please tell me they aren't on at the same time? I didn't think they were. I thought One Tree Hill was on at 7:00 and then Veronica Mars was on at 8:00. I always record Veronica Mars each week as well as watch it, and now my parents want me to record One Tree Hill just because my stupid brother really likes the show and is only home on the weekends . I hope you're wrong about this . Oh, and if they are on at the same time that would really hurt Veronica Mars so I definitely hope it's not true.

In short - Invasion is way off from the previous timeslot holder. Looking at it compared to Alias at the same point things arent looking great. But Invasion should be ashamed if it cant steady above 10 million; Alias had the American Idol show squish it about 5 episodes in; Invasion has no such competition and therfore if it falls bellow 10 million viewers then i think theres a serious chance of cancellation.
Taken From here
Invasion versus the second episode of Alias shown as part of a double bill post lost
12.3m v 14.5m [Alias advantage 2.7m]
Invasion versus the second WEEK [3rd episode] of Alias shown straight after lost
12.3m v 14.2m [Alias advantage 2.5m]
Pre-empt for Invasion versus the pre-empt for Alias
Invasion 23.2m v 20.8m [Meaning Alias had significantly less viewers leading in.]
Audience Retention of Invasion versus Alias.
53% versus 69% [Alias' retention difference is clear]
Audience Retention from previous episode stated in percentages.Invasion versus Alias
72.9% versus 97.9% [Alias advantage 34.3%]
Audience Falloff from previous episode stated in viewers. Invasion versus Alias
4,600,000 versus 300,000*
[*although note that this is compared to the 10pm showing of Alias' second episode compared to its 9pm third. There are no official figures avialble for the standalone 1 hour Alias premiere; although calculated its supposedly 17.2m. The average for the 2 hour epsiode was 15m with the second hour being overnighted at 14.5m viewers. Episode to episode drop from ep 1 to 2 thats 15% anyway. The third episode of Alias garnered 14.2m viewers, a falloff of 2% from its former.]
It looks like "Invasion" after Lost is looking like a worse idea already. Maybe they wont be so quick to dump old dogs into bad timeslots in the future for new shows that they assume will be hits because they are getting cocky.

I'm surprised Lost held up so well. Zingaling was a good indicator that people could start in the second season and still kinda understand it and really like it.

No they're not on the same time. I meant in the overalls. I hope Veronica squishes the complete WB line up on Wednesday. That should be enough for it to guarantee third season...

Phew!
While it would be nice if Veronica Mars could be up there with those shows in terms of ratings there is no way it will be happening this season .

A lot of people say that One Tree Hill isn't able to anchor the night, so who knows, maybe Veronica manages to outdeliver OTH. Related will go head to head with Veronica, and I don't think it will be popular...
