Saturday Night Live Season 31 News
Well, the host and musical guest for the season premiere for SNL has FINALLY been revealed, along with news on upcoming hosts and musical guests.
Oct. 1st:
Host - Steve Carell
Musical Guest - Kanye West (expect SNL to reference his "Bush hates black people" comment in some way, shape or form, since that's obviously the hip thing to do, making fun of someone when they're on the show.)
Oct. 8th:
Host - Jon Heder (Eek.)
Musical Guest - tba
Oct. 22nd
Host - Catherine Zeta-Jones
Musical Guest - Franz Ferdinand
Oct. 29th:
Host: Lance Armstrong
Musical Guest: Sheryl Crow
I heard of two new people joining the featured players list, but no news on main cast removals (Darrell Hammond is going into Season 11 if he remains with the show) or changes.

Those all look good, even Heder. I hope they can get someone to be as funny as Seth Myers this year, he can't carry the show forever. Rudolph and Hammond are 2nd and 3rd best. Once past those 3 pretty much everyone else is terrible. Amy Phoeler, Rachel Dratch, Kenan Thompson(worst.cast-member.ever.), they all suck it big time. And the writing needs a step up.
I still like watching the show but sometimes its unbearable.

That's more likely a rumor started by Ashlee than anything else.
"No, you guyz!!1 I won't mess up this time, the recorded voice for the right song will come on this time, guyz!! I won't mess up! And... even if I do, I learned to dance over the summer, so I can pretend it's, like, some sort of dance singing thing. There's like, you know, a dance craze right now, you guyz!!"
... I am becoming more and more like Michael every day.

Well its possible shes doing it. I mean it would coincide perfectly with the upcoming release of her new album. She'd probably make fun of herself in some way.

I know, and SNL has an INCREDIBLE fascination in recent years with getting celebrities to make fun of themselves (which I found funny once, not twenty times in three seasons). Never say never, I guess.

I think it's mostly the celebrities PR consultants that influence the show to make fun of them. Kind of like "Ok, Britney will do the show -- and your ratings will go through the roof! -- on the conditions that..."
