Episode was just ok. They didn't really give depth, and it looked like not much was going on. Through the 40 days only one situation was happening, and that was Nathan in the hole/the evil imposter. Nothing else.

They also put Ana-Lucia in every scene, which was kind've useless because next episode is all her again anyways. They could've used Echo and Libby(one of my new faves btw) a lot more.

I agree with everything you say there. Libby is cool despite me thinking she's the most likely to be an other if anyone is.

Very sloppy episode.

Didn't like it that much, though there are a couple interesting characters in that group of people (to replace the two boring ones killed off already!)

I really enjoyed the episode. I like Ana Lucia because she is so disliked by everyone, and the point of her in the show for me at least is NOT to like her. Also, I am VERY intrigued by this others' Canadian connection. The fact that Ethan, and now this other guy both have a similar back story or fake story that they use to trick the Lost castaways, I think will be a very interesting development down the road. Also, Libby being a clinical psychologist? With Rosseau, John Locke, etc, the psychology connections keep on coming!

Also, Eko has risen up to top 5 on my favorite Lost characters. I can't wait to see his back story. I think he will be the one that really brings across the message to the season 1 castaways just how bad they really had it on the other side of the island, as no one is going to want to listen to Ana Lucia. I thought the Sayid and Sawyer tension was bad, just wait for Ana Lucia to enter the mix. It's interesting too, because he would have probably had the most in common with Ana Lucia.

Haha. No dice.

It'll probably be her and Jack.

i would love for ana and jack to get together and have a nice romantic getaway and then have Sayid and show up and kill the both of them. they are the worst 2 characters on the show and i am looking forward to the day when one or both of them dies. i would prefer it be slow, but as long as the end reslult is death then i'm good.

I agree. I said it a few pages back.. I know they've talked about the Kate-Jack-Ana-Lucia love triangle, but I just can not see Ana Lucia and Jack together. They're too different. Yes, they've both assumed leadership roles on the island, but in every other way they're too different. Opposites attract, sure, but they're too different I think. Ana-Lucia seems, to me, to be better suited for Sawyer. I think they compliment each other well.

I actually think the first set of survivors had it worst than the tail end. And I'm sure the episode was supposed to have the opposite effect.

Monsters >Polar Bears > Random Kidnappings

Nod and don't forget Claire's baby was kidnapped so they had some of that too.

And did anyone notice that the tail people came out of the water and got their act together fast? It seemed like the main cast was dazed and shocked for a lot longer, more realistically.

Not to mention the main cast had the worst crash, I mean, a guy was sucked into the engine.

Oooh, look at us, we have people stuck in trees or who have drowned.

Because they had to stretch 42 days in 1 hour and 4 minutes. Again, I say, sloppy episode.

Exactly, Kate could work with either, but Jack and Ana-Lucia? Sure they had that one moment in the airport, but I doubt it, although to be fair we have yet to see them interact with each other post-crash. Jack was originally going to be killed off in the pilot, but since they kept him from so many people liking him, I'm sure that they realized they needed someone to be there for Sawyer, who they probably originally planned on getting with Kate. Solution for a lonely Sawyer? Have one of the survivors they find along the way instead get with him.

Just saw the episode. I liked it. The conversation between Ana-Lucia and Goodwin was great and full of tension because you know one will attack the other at a point. Then again, you already know how Goodwin ends up.

Good episode.

I thought this was a fairly interesting read about the possible meaning of the island and the survivors and what not.

Hmm.. so the others have tried to infiltrate each camp. I wonder why Ethan never gave a list to the Others for them to capture?
Also who would have been the strongest for the main group? And why weren't they attacked?

I was convinced Nathan was an other until Goodwin set him free. Nathan seemed so clueless and innocent.. But he's Candian, he has to be an Other!!

This whole "they were on the list because they were good people" and "they are better off now" stuff really makes me wonder what this all is about...

It makes me wonder also why didn't Ethan set this up for the main group. Instead all he cared about was getting Clare and her baby. Also before people start thinking the Others have such benevolent wishes for these people, do not forget that Ethan left Charlie to die hanging from a tree.

The link Agent X posted is worth checking out. It's hard to say if it is spoilerish. It is just a fan's opinion, just another theory, but it is the best thought out one so far.

Well Charlie isn't a "good" person! Goodwin killed that guy, after all!

My personal theory still holds! This is purgatory and those guys are just bringing those people to heaven! heh
