It's your own fault you never warmed up to JANELLE like the rest of us...

:hahaha:

I wish I could pin the whole thing on J. Ho....but I can't.

I heard that some of the contestants didn't even go through the application process because of the twist; they were recruited instead. Some contestants, like Dolores Claiborne -- oh s'cuse me, Rachel -- didn't even care about the game and were just there because of their partners. Because of that, we got stuck with a bunch of uninteresting party-poopers, which really affected the game.

Also, most of the big personalites (and audience un-favorites) like Eric and Spazette made for a whole lot of bad TV.

But overall, it's just been a real snooze-fest of a season to be honest. I may not agree with America about Howie and Janelle, but we do agree with that. Big Brother 6's ratings are down sharply from the last two seasons.

Hmm, that last point is correct entirely. I believe it's on par with Big Brother 4. It's down slightly from BB5, but sharply? Not really. It's the usual BB audience. Not like that would affect its future. It's a welcome summer addition to CBS, and will be for a few more years.

Because you didn't like Janelle and Howie, you couldn't possibly get into the season. They were two stars, in my opinion, and made the show good. I believe that deeply affected your opinion.

For once, I agree with Cotton lol. This season just hasn't been that great. A lot of the people did NOT apply.. let's see..

Janelle applied, brought along Ashlea..
Howie applied, brought along Rachel..
Michael applied, brought along Kaysar..
Jennifer applied in PAST seasons, got called for this one, brought along April..
Eric applied, brought along Mannie..
Ivette applied, brought along Beau..
James got recruited through his myspace, brought along Sarah..

So a lot of the people had never watched the show, and had no idea how it worked.. just went along for the ride.

Big Brother 5 was good until after Jase and Scott got kicked off. I, personally, liked them.. others didn't. Whether or not you liked them, I think that it, in general, just got boring after they left. No more drama from Jase, no more crazy stunts for Scott... I mean, it WAS pretty cool that two of the four horsemen made it to final two, but I don't think either deserved the win, really. They both just rode Jase/Scott's coattails, and then after they left, Drew and Cowboy laid pretty low, and they made it a few extra weeks because of the twins coming out, and everyone seeking revenge. Big Brother 4 was pretty bad, too, although Alison was my early favorite and she made final two, which I was excited about. Big Brother 3 was the best season, for me. TWELVE (13, 14?) STRANGERS living in a house.. NO ONE knew each other, and not counting them bringing Amy back in, there were no lame "twists" thrown at them. I didn't see Big Brother 2, unfortunately, so I have no opinions on that.

BB5's ratings where down slightly from BB4's, but not much. I know BB6's ratings are off by at least 10% from BB5. I know that may not seem like much, but for a show that isn't even cracking 10 mil, it's a bit of a hit. Especially since it was increasing through seasons 2 through 4, and stayed about the same for 5.

But bleh, I just didn't like the show this year for my personal reasons. And believe it or not, they had more to do with the twist and the game than just Howie and Janelle.

Well, the fact that April said she would vote for Janelle if it were an Ivette/Janelle final two makes me feel really good. But I still think April would have to somehow convince the pissy Jennifer to vote for Janelle, which seems 99.99% unlikely to me. Jennifer HATES Janelle. Then there is the possibility that April might back down from that then and follow with Jennifer, since Jennifer seems to be the dominant one of the pairs relationship. April is all emotional, Jennifer is strong and bitchy. Then there is James who I think will easily vote for Ivette if she made the final two. James loves Ivette.

So I don't know what to really think. I still think Maggie/Janelle at this point would be a better potential final 2, as Maggie has no guaranteed vote (no partner) and Janelle is guaranteed 3 votes going in (James, Rachel and Howie). I'm actually thinking at this point that Janelle has no chance of winning, no matter whether Ivette or Maggie is with her. That's why I hope Maggie is in the final 2, so that she wins, and not Ivette (please god, no).

If Ivette wins this game, the whole show is totalled. Maggie I can deal with winning, and Janelle would be the best ever, but Ivette winning I couldn't take. Not one bit. I'd go crazy.

Thanks to EVERYONE for your lovely summaries!! I appreciate it very, very much. Thank you, thank you, thank you!

PEACE, Mike.

In all honesty, Howie was never that interesting other than a few instances. His going off on April, the question of which gender(s) he liked, other than that, I really blame him for why this season is sucking to an extent, he handed control of the game to Maggie, and she has controlled the game ever since. Maggie and Janelle and James are/were the best players in this game out of people remaining and who have left. Kaysar was popular, and he was interesting, but in all honesty, the supposedly "smartest" player in the house would not make as many stupid decisions as he made, and be as transparent as he was in showing all of his cards. On the plus side, he is responsible for Eric not coming back into the house on TWO occasions, so Big Brother fans love him! But out of the three I mentioned, I'd say the best player of this season has without a doubt been Janelle. It's quite an accomplishment to lose your partner in week 1 (Ashlea), new boyfriend in week 2 (Michael), new best friend in week 4 and 6 (Kaysar), and make it to the final 7 with only 1 person on your side (Howie), since Rachel was kicked out. And to still be around for as long as she has, even if she doesn't win a cent, she played the best game of the season, and completely deserves to win, but the only reason she likely wont is because of the stupid mistakes of others, and a delusional group of people who have a weird notion that they'll all be holding hands as they leave the set after the final show and going for a picnic in Crappy land.

Well, coming from someone who reads the transcripts I can tell you that I sincerely hope Maggie does not win this. She is the brain-washing puppetmaster behind the friendship who is just as hateful as any other nerd-herder, only is much better at disguising it/hiding it. She is soooo fucking gross and filthy, has major sexual frustration issues(along with April), and is domineering, delusional and insecure. This is not a case where I would respect her for coaxing the members of her brood along while laying low, because everyone she was with was soooo stupid to begin with. I mean, how hard was it to pull the wool over their eyes? Nope, Ivette any day over Haggie.

And no second part of the HOH until Friday = too damn long and drawn out.

Oh, and go Janie ;) !

Isn't there a third (final) part? When's that? Why would they do two parts in one day?

I give Maggie credit because even though I don't want her side to win, looking at things, her tactics such as consistently saying "your doing THIS is going against the friendship," and inferring that going against the friendship would cost someone votes and the money. I don't think she's a nice person AT ALL, but her strategy, has worked perfectly, she scrambled a traumatized group of people after their "crapmeister" left, and used scare tactics to make sure all of her team members didn't try to go to the other side, and that's why she's still in the game. She scared Howie with her power as HOH, and pretty much set the game's route from there. I don't think at all that she SHOULD win the money, but did she play the game among the top 3 best, she sure did. She kept those idiots in line, and had 4 others doing her work for quite some time.

My rating of the seasons..

BB3
BB5
BB6
BB4

Didn't see the first ones. I didn't like BB4 at all, except for the fact that my pick to win it came in second place.

I would put season 2 at the top of the list, simply for the brilliance of Will. I remember picking him as my favourite on the first night, because he seemed really nice and not overly talkative. To my pleasant surprise he turned out to be a lying bastard, but making no bones about being that very thing. There was also a pretty memorable though short-lived clique (Chill Town), some good squables (Shannon and Hardy) and some interesting late-game decision making.

This season would come after it, for no other reality program has gotten me as involved in what was going on, or made me root for/against certain people more than this. And of course the division in the house was at an all-time high, with the most glorious throwdown's in Big Brother history. However, the nerdherd, by their very being, makes it a notch below season 2.

Big Brother 3 was the best for me. The final three (Jason, Lisa and Danielle) were all likeable people who played a great game. We also had other notable characters like the frisky Marcellas and the yappy Josh.

Big Brother 2 was good too, but only because watching Will outsmart a whole bunch of mean-spirited morons (Nicole and Hardy namely) was so fun.

Big Brother 5 had some of the greatest moments -- like the backdooring of Jase -- but on a whole was a bit uneven. Some of the characters where great, however, the drama fell off a bit after the three idiots (Holly, Scott and Jase) got canned.

Big Brother 4 -- unlike BB3 -- probably had the WORST final three of any season (ok, BB6 is giving it a run for its money) with Allison, Jun and Robert. I think I allready stated how much I hated Allison and her whinning. Jun was a huge mean-spirited egomaniac, and Robert was just a bumbling moron. Most of the cast was a dour and self-concious bunch, which made for a rather dull and annoying season.

Big Brother 2 is by far my favourite season. Will was awesome. Will is my favourite BB contestant ever. Man that season was so sweet.

Big Brother 3 probably had one of the best cast of houseguests, and it was definately a fun season to watch. I agree with Cotton's comments. I rate this second.

PEACE, Mike.

Wait a minute, am I reading this right? They are moving the regular Thursday night show to Friday? Why the hell are they doing that? They're moving one of the most important shows of the season to the worst day of the week.

PEACE, Mike.

Most likely because Survivor is on tomorrow and Bush is addressing the nation immediately after that.

I think they also wanted to re-air the finale of CSI before the new season started, but even that will be interrupted by Bush.

You mean the first part of the HOH, right? Yeah, you do. When's part two and three?

Part 3 is usually live...so Friday. Part 2 should be either today or tomorrow I would think.

Part three is now. It's something physical, it seems like, because they're in comfortable clothes and sneakers.. Janelle wearing blue, Maggie wearing red. Janelle usually dominates at physical comps (behind James, usually, but he's gone, so there ya go), so hopefully she can pull through.

ETA: Part two, not three. My bad.
