This episode didn't really capture my attention. I loved all the scenes with Cuddy or Wilson, but the show is getting a bit formulaic. The kiddies think House is wrong. House is wrong. It turns out House was right all along. The last new episode broke from this, at least a bit, but this one was back to the usual. And there was far too much Cameron. Though any Cameron is too much for me.

I liked this episode, it was quite dramatic at the end when House was confronting the psycho wife. And the way that House solved the problem with the herpes couple - fantastic. There was a bit less character development in this, but you can tell they're building up to something big between House and Foreman. They always seem to be at odds in every episode.

Yay! I got to see this last night... GREAT episode! I was REALLY lovin' all the House/Wilson stuff (yup, I'm an H/W shipper).
I wasn't surprised that the wife was poisoning her husband, but I *was* surprised by exactly how she was doing it... Very interesting.

Oh, yes, most definitely! Which is the oddest thing ever because I've NEVER been a slash fan. I've been "oh, yeah, they'd be cute" with stuff like Sirius/Lupin for Harry Potter, but I've never actively shipped a slash pairing.... until House. It's just that the writers are so obviously reading stuff in the fandom and catering to them... So there is just SO much in the show that can be contrued as House/Wilson HoYAY that I just couldn't ignore it for long.
So, yeah, I'm now a firm H/W shipper, though at the foremost, I'm a House/anyone shipper (except House/Cameron). If House ends up with Cuddy at one point, I'm fine with that. And I had no problem at all with Stacy (the actress, on the other hand, well... I had a few minor quibbles). But I would be SO for House/Wilson should it arise canonically.

Not only do the writers tread messageboard territory, they also have tongue-in-cheek references to the actor's previous roles. The most obvious target is Lisa Edelstein (Cuddy) when House called her a transsexual (a reference to her role in Ally McBeal)... and revealed her internet dating password (hotpants? or something... )

Heh it's getting so that any time any male friendship is shown on TV or movies that isn't real macho, people assume its some coded sign of gayness. Cuddy and House are a good match, the rest of the ideas above are just over-reading into it.
As to the complaint that it is formulaic, that's true, but the formula isn't what is said above. The formula is: the patient or their close relative is always lying about something they have done or some medicine they are taking.
I like House but I wish they'd make him more realistic and not like some super-sherlock holmes type genius.

Didn't know if she was a main character or not, never watched the show.
Can anyone explain the end, with House getting a pillow to sit on? I must have missed something.

Great episode. I liked the random insertions of comedy in dramatic moments ("No, just dandruff. Not as dramatic as I was hoping for.").

Much better than last week. Several very amusing bits, and I was far more interested in this week's case.

Very solid episode. I enjoyed it, though I wasn't as compelled as I could have been. Not particularly exhilarating, I guess. Then again, I'm not into these Medical Mystery shows as much as most - the subject bores me, so I guess this show must be pretty damn good to keep me watching.

I'm bored easily by most medical shows. ... well, I'm more half and half. I've never been able to keep up watching "ER" or "Grey's Anatomy". They're good shows (well, "ER" used to be), but I just can't get into them enough to constantly watch. But, on the sitcom side, I can watch "Scrubs" and "M*A*S*H" all the time. But they're more comedy than medical-based. "House" is the oddity, I guess. Maybe it's Hugh Laurie. I don't think I'd be watching without Laurie. The rest of the cast is great, and the writing is great. It's Hugh Laurie that sorta makes everything work.

Yet another great episode. Loved it to pieces. The medical mystery was extremely intriguing (and I felt so relieved for the boyfriend when they discovered it wasn't his fault that she got sick [well, at least, not in as directly a way as was at first thought]). And the humorous scenes? Freaking HILARIOUS!!! I was laughing to tears tonight.

22.63 million viewers
Is that the highest so far?

The first episode in Season 1 got 7.00 million viewers. That's quite an accomplishment! 7 million to 22.6 million. All within two seasons!

Final Tuesday number: 22.71 million.
That's the highest viewership for House so far. It also had its highest 18-49 rating on Tuesday. YES! Hopefully it grows, if not, wish it stays 21-23 million range, so it can challenge Grey's Anatomy as the number one medical drama.

For those of you in the States, they show a House rerun (usually from season 1) Friday nights on USA Channel. A good way to catch up on the series if you're home.

Decent ep. but not as good as the last, IMO. Lacked subplots as the medical stuff can growing tiring at times.

I wish House could've actually been wrong for once, but oh well.
If Hugh Laurie is passed over for his well-deserved Emmy for fricking James Spader again, I'm gonna be mad.

Oh, I have a feeling we'll eventually see House be wrong and all hell will break loose and Hugh Laurie will DEFINITELY get the Emmy... and of course it'd be his second or third (depending on what season they do an episode like that in) as he's TOTALLY getting his first this year. If not, I have no more faith in Hollywood ('course I have very little left to begin with).
Another great episode. The kid was adorable. Cameron actually looked like a woman and not a girl being all gussied up like that; she should wear her hair like that more often.
Loved the interaction between House and Wilson. The last line of the episode was so outrageously out there but so freaking hilarious!
