I'm a little confused though from that interview. I thought they were just making a couple of two hour TV movies of Futurama. But he's talking like it might be a full season? Or what is it exactly.

I think the movie idea was something they were kicking around before Comedy Central ordered 8 episodes. (It's 8, right? Maybe 13.) Now they're planning on doing a season, not movies.

I've heard 13 episodes, I've heard 16 episodes, and I've heard four DVD movies. I guess we'll never know.
Also, are these the only episodes? It seems like it's going to take forever to make these. By the time they air, if they decided to make more, it'd take until 2010 for another season.
