Just for Snrub, I opted for Joey tonight instead of Everybody Hates Chris.

And while I remain generally unimpressed, I must say that it is clear the show has gotten better since its premiere. I did laugh out loud two or three times.

But still, just two or three.

Your move, Snrub!

The Office is quickly priming itself to be the most underrated show of the season.

The finale of Weeds was definitely 'great' worthy, but I'd still peg the season at good. Maybe between good and great.

I know Two and a Half Men is better than the two episodes I've seen this season (from what I hear), but I still can't believe a show like it does so well while we've got brilliant stuff like The Office doing half of what Men does. Ugh.

I've seen a couple episodes of Out of Practice, and I don't really mind it. The cast is actually pretty good. The writing, though, is crap. How they convinced Henry Winkler to ditch Arrested Development (and bring Stockard Channing with him) for this is beyond me.

P.S - Is no one concerned by the "big picture" for Lost? I mean; how many people are going to just appear before the show runs out of people who they can relive and simply start reliving the lifes of the animals?

I heard it was originally to be a feature film - and I think that whilst it works very very well as a TV show that its going to exhaust the concept sometime soon. They can't pull out the show forever without frustrating the fans - but ending it would be ratings suicide.

Unless I really love a show, I don't watch it. (i.e. ... I'd rather be watching Home & Garden.) So the shows listed under "Frikkin' Awesome" are the shows that are my must see TV. Everything else on this list I can pretty much take or leave. By definition, all other TV shows, not listed below would be "Not So Much" to me. For the record, I sampled Everybody Hates Chris, Commander in Chief, Threshold and Ghost Whisperer.

Survivor
Lost
The 4400
Battlestar Galactica

The Amazing Race
Desperate Housewives

The Night Stalker

Tonight's Lost was most definitely frikkin' awesome. I'll keep the season at a great, though.

Extras is still really good, though nothing has matched the premiere.

Wife Swap is just one of those 'watch because nothing else is on' shows, but you know, sometimes it can be pretty dynamic. Monday's episode was quite good.

I watched Freddie tonight thinking it'd be in automatic 'not so much' territory and then some, and although Freddie Prinze, Jr. sucks hard in it (least funny character), it's really now worse than, say, How I Met Your Mother.

Really? I thought the premiere was the low point for the six episodes (downloaded them when they aired on BBC in August). I think it progressively gets better. How far into the show is HBO now? I can't remember, because I don't follow it. Was this week's episode the Kate Winslet episode? I thought that was one of the funnier episodes.

I kind of miss Wife Swap, I haven't watched it at all this season because it conflicts with Arrested Development/How I Met Your Mother.

The Kate Winslet episode WAS the premiere for us Americans. Pay attention, X. Pay attention.

Hee. We're three episodes in so far, though. Kate Winslet was 1. The Ben Stiller one was 2. Vinnie Jones/Ross Kemp was 3.

Oh! Hehe. On BBC, the Ben Stiller episode was the premiere, followed by Vinnie Jones/Ross Kemp and Kate Winslet. I wish a network in Canada would air this, so I could tape all six episodes for my Dad to watch. I know he'd like this show.

I don't get what you mean....
Where are you in the series? Do you know that each character gets multiple background stories? Their backstories become an arc after a while (well, sort of...)

Okay, I've now seen two episodes of Arrested Development.

I can see why it's so highly regarded. I enjoyed the quirky tone, laughed out loud a few times (Bob Loblaw was an inspired creation), but for some reason... I'm not all that eager to watch anymore. It doesn't help that I can't stand Jason Bateman (some unresolved Teen Wolf Too issues, I think - bring back Michael J. Fox, damn it!).

I'll watch a couple more to see if it sticks, but for now, consider me... on the fence.

Snrub; ive watched Arrested Development once and it never really gripped me either.
I can see its appeal but i never really understood it .It dosen't go "the whole mile" in its intent like many of the darker britcoms.
But its good, no doubt.

I've tried watching AD about 3 times, I couldn't stand it. I just didn't find it funny at all, its the ugliest show on tv, it just didn't click to me. Maybe I should try again, but it might be a waste.

Try to seek out season one if possible.

I can understand finding the show a little inaccessible jumping in three seasons into the show's run. For a light comedy, it's surprisingly plot heavy and commonly alludes to previous happenings in the show.

Really, though, try to seek out the earlier episodes (at least the episode 'Justice is Blind' from season one, if anything).

Do it! Do it for us! (Us being the five people who watch the show, not counting the critics.)

The Colbert Report is no Daily Show, but I think it could definitely turn into something good if they keep it up.
