Hmmm... I'm not too sure. You can't really tell who they might kill off in the long run.

I would say Shannon or Charlie, maybe even Sun or Jin...

But then I think of Jack and Locke and I think it's more likely that one of them will die.

I think Sayid is actually someone who could get the ax soon but I can also picture him as one of the final survivors. I don't quite understand his popularity... he's always sort of annoying on the show and the writing for his dialogue and actions on the island haven't always been the best feature of the show.

I don't know... it's hard to tell. I think maybe Locke would be pretty quick to go.

I don't think they're going to kill off one of the two actors who got an Emmy nomination, especially when those are the two who seem to be doing the least off set.

Will last to the end: Sawyer, Claire(the most underestimated and underappreciated castaway) with 7-8 year old fuctional kid Emily, Kate, and Micheal surprisingly. Jack is a possibility but I think he is leaning more towards dieing eventually. Shannon too, but again shes leaning towards death as well.

Will die(assured): Locke who is soon, Charlie, Walt, Sayid, Hurley, Jin and Sin, Michelle Rodruiguez.

Wait wait wait, WHY do they need to kill off almost everyone now? I can't possibly by them killing Walt but leaving Michael alive. I really can't imagine either dying.

I am almost certain that Locke will die, but definitely not before the final episodes of the show.

Locke? Really? One of the most well-liked characters? I don't know. I see him dying eventually, but this year? So soon?

Look, no major character is going to die this year and by major I mean the leads... JAck, Locke, Kate, Sawyer, and Charlie (and okay Sayid too). the earliest I can see any of them being considered for the ax is possibly a cliffhanger at the end of Season and that goes only for Locke, Sayid, or Sawyer.

I agree that Claire is among the most underappreciated and underestimated castaways; she has always been among my favorites.

I think Michelle Rodrigues won't really last longer than Season 3.

There's no way they will kill off a kid... but there is a good chance they might kill off Micheal though!

I agree. They won't kill off a kid on such a series. Especially one so crucial to the story.

Did you read my posting? hehe I said he will die at the very end of the show, not of this season. I think he'll last through all seasons and die in the very final episodes.

Oops. Heh. It seems like everyone else thinks he's going to die, though. Almost unanimous.

Nono, not going to happen. The whole story is built around Jack and Locke for now, there would be no sense in killing off the pretty much most beloved Lost character.

I think Walt is gonna come back at the end of the season and be evil.
As for Locke, he's either gonna die or be the only survivor.

Maybe they'll kill off Rose before she get's to reunite with her husband. That'd be cruelly ironic.

One thing I know for sure. However it ends, Locke will not leave the island. The island is his destiny, one way or another.

I think will definitely survive:

Kate
Sayid (I think he'll get to find this girl he was looking for all the time)
Jin and Sun (will restart their life anew)

The ABC website probably has recaps.

Thanks, and thanks for not laughing at my joke, as it wasn't worthy of your chuckling.

To reiterate: Betcha that Hobbitt dork is going to be showing his true villainous colours early on. (He's obviously up to no good.)

And as I've already said, it's pretty clear they've all been abducted... and that each one of them is "gifted" in one way or another. I just couldn't figure out the plane crash... unless you consider the possibility that the crash was staged.

I agree, I think Locke WILL die, jsut not any time soon. Like someone else said above, the island is his destiny, so I don't see him leaving it. Either he stays there if/when they're rescued, or he dies before then. But I think he'll be around to the final season, whenever that may be.

I really don't see them killing off Jack, either, like a lot of people seem to think. He's pretty much the main character of the show (like someone stated above, he's had more flash back episodes than anyone, although I don't find it annoying like they did), and he's the glue that holds the castaways together. He's their leader; he gives them directions and keeps them going. I think it would be kind of crazy for them to kill him off any time soon. Although, I could be just a tad bit biased because he's my favorite character, and Matthew Fox was the reason I started watching the show to begin with.

Who I think WILL die... Shannon (After Boone's death, she really doesn't seem to be an important part of the show, other than a love interest for Sayid), Hurley, Locke (not until the very end), Charlie, and a possibility with Jin.

Who I think will live... Jack, Kate, Michael and Walt (I don't see them killing one and letting the other live, especially with how important they're becoming in each others lives), Sayid (I think, like soemone else said before, he will eventually find the woman he is looking for).

Not sure about.. Sawyer, Sun, Jin (although I feel like he will die), Claire

I wonder if Arzt will be mentioned at all in Season 2. None of the other castaways besides the big 4 know that he died. I was probably the only one who liked him.

They're saving that for Season 3.

A sound from the jungle peaks their interests, turning them away from the hatch. They return 23 episodes later.

Ya, that will be the day

I wonder if the hatch will provide anything or have any connection as to why they're on the island.
The prodicers/writers ahve repeatedly said that season 2 will explore why they crashed; there is a specific or at least non-accidental reason and they said that's what we'll find out throughout or at the end of Season 2.

They are going to explore the hatch, don't worry. But since it's being explored in the very beginning of the season, it may have no connection to why the crashed, since that will probably come at the end of the season.

Remember Lindelof said "What they fidn in the hatch will be interesting but not as interesting as its effect on Locke!"
It really makes you wonder what really is in there? I mean is everyone expecting some materialistic items? Because it's hard to fathom what else could possibly be down there. (Watch it's just an empty room, hehe)

I'm getting impatient!! There is still a week left and I'm working the night of the premiere! I'll probably be home by 10 but I'll have to set it to record and not watch it till it finishes so I can watch my tape from the beginning!

What I read is that the hatch will have an effect on everyone, but most of all on Locke.
