Oh God, do we HAVE to have another Marissa?! Can't her sister just go back to horse camp or whatever?! And they've aged her more than they really should have, lol. I guess they wanted another set of boobs on screen.
Good episode Thursday, I like the pairing of Summer's dad and Julie. Hopefully something becomes of that instead of just being a Julie & Jimmy get-back-together-for-four-episodes type thing.

I <3 Taylor Townsend.
It's so cool that she's friends with the rest of them now! Hee.
Shut up.

The best part of the episode:
Johnny's gone! Yay!
At least he better be.

What exactly does O C stand for? I'm guessing Orange County?
I don't watch it, but I've always kinda wondered.

So, because of no Idol and no Survivor, I actually watched the OC tonight. First time in a few months.
God! I thought it was bad before I drifted away. Now it's just beyond dreadful. Mischa Barton has been now acting for 3 years, and she's almost worse now than what she was when she started. There was a full catalog of cringy Marissa moments in this one.
"Summer, please don't ask me if I'm getting back together with Ryan"
"I never lie about pancakes"
"You're dating Mr. Roberts! *ohno*"
"So if he invites me, that means he wants to get back together, if he doesn't invite me he doesn't"
And I see they've stocked the barrell full of useless bland characters that mean nothing to the show just like last season. Sadie? Please. Volchuk? How old is this guy, like 45? Either way, both of them have 0 personality or spark, just like Ryan and Marissa! Yay! Tyler Hilton in his short 1.5 seasons role as the villian jerk on OTH had more charisma than this entire cast combined(not counting Seth/Summer, though still Him>Either of them individually). And Marissa is supposed to find this guy attractive? He looks like Elliot from AI, and that's not a good thing. You can't even see his eyes, they're all squinty and crossed against each other.
Other than the bland filling, this episode was also so...pointless. In my 2 seasons of watching, they already did this exact thing like 5 times. Birthday party at the restaurant, Julie Cooper getting engaged somewhere, Marissa and Ryan trouble situation, other characters interfere, someone from Ryan's family is contacted, it's all so recycled. In Season 1, I really did love this show, and that's part of the reason why it irks me where they've gone with it. It's the train wrecks of all train wrecks. I'm going to love what the ratings look like tomorrow, and good riddance to the complete disaster that is The O.C.

I know!
Now I'm starting to think that Oliver storyline in the first season is a classic compared to... Marissa and Ryan breaking up for the 71826th time.

It was definitely their most, um, exciting? I mean, that guy is a full-blown psycho! The bad thing is that, they really can't top that anymore. Everything they do is just boring now. The Oliver storyline is something Melrose Place would do in their third season or 90210 in their fifth.

Seriously, what the hell were you thinking?
The first four episodes of S1 was great stuff. Then the rest of the season was definitely watchable, if not kind of predictable (The whole Theresa thing...Where the hell is she now?). Season 2 was just bad (Lindsay was okay, but they got rid of her quickly) and Season 3's only bright spot is Taylor.
And when Oliver is brought up in a positive light you know things are messed up. They've already covered their 90210 imitation this year with the whole 'Marissa Cooper graduates, Marissa Cooper graduates' episode, so if they are going for Melrose Place next the questions will be: What structure will succumb to arson and who will be wearing the wig?

*laughs*
I owe you, I owe you big, but S1 started off so well and Thereas was so good, which is why she was promptly taken off the show. No go storylines allowed.
I abandoned ship sooner then you did, thank god for my Thursday night class.

So i guess i can bitch about the O.C without people giving me grief now.
Yay.
The O.C is one of the worst shows I've ever seen! It was like a really crappy version of Dawsons Creek.
Strongly double that Mischa Barton and Rachel Bilson will be the next Katie Holmes and Michelle Williams somehow.

I forgot to set a tape for Thursday's episode while I was away, but I find myself not caring at all.
This show used to be so good, it's really kind of sad how far it's fallen in such a short amount of time.

Mischa Barton wants to quit the show. I really don't think it'll be necessary as this is likely it's last season anyway.

Yeah, because theres really a bright future ahead in Hollywood for Mischa Barton.
Actually, depending on how unclean her moral fabric actually is, I think Mischa Barton is not going to go away :*(

Now I hope The O.C. doesn't get canceled because, honestly, everything that's wrong with it right now is because of Mischa Barton's character.

Yeah, she's an annoying, unlikable, and altogether pointless character at this stage in the show's lifespan.
Barton would regret leaving the show as she's a terrible actor who will never be a star.
