10/17 - Jack doesn't kill anyone. The person who dies is NOT Rose. Source: Kristin on E!Online

Just going by what they say (meaning maybe it's all b.s. who knows, but lets pretend it's real) then it's most likely Charlie killing Claire. They said that it was a "purty" woman who dies, which means Kate, Sun or Claire. Sun adds so much in the way of plots, Kate is a ratings draw, Claire is the most "red shirt" of the three women.

Or Shannon, as its her episode, though I doubt it'll be her. They wouldn't do both Rutherfords, and theres a lot riding with her right now that they haven't explored. And she(Maggie Grace) is making a bit of a name for herself with The Fog, so I don't think it'll be her. My theory: She'll be there involved, watching from the bushes scared or will be at gunpoint, but she won't be the one dieing. I think that'll be Sun.

I looked at it, its just speculation from a fan with not much backing it up. Won't believe until I see it.

P.S., for those not wanting to check the link, he says its: Shannon

Makes sense. Now if they'd just kill off the rest of the cast and start anew.

Lost offers no job security at all.

Shannon getting killed off would make sense, as I do remember a story in the summer about one unamed actor/actress (im certain it was an actress) who demanded a wage rise which couldn't be accomodated long term, and they would just pay her wages 'till she gets killed. Out of the ladies, all of them were pretty much nobodies before the show apart from Maggie Grace (Shannon)

Could be anyone. We don't really KNOW these actresses, so any one of them could have a big head and think they are worth more money.

I don't think the creators would kill someone vital just because of the paycheque though. I'm pretty sure they want the show to go their planned path as much as possible, and eliminating a bound to be vital character in my mind like Shannon would put a knife in the show a bit.

I don't mean to interrupt your Lost thread, but there's no other place to talk about this.

I watched 6 more episodes tonight (well... "Special" is playing now). "Solitary", "Raised By Another", "All the Best Cowboys Have Daddy Issues", "Whatever the Case May Be", "Hearts and Minds" and the aforementioned "Special".

As a blur, these are pretty great. I like watching series in forms like this because the "not quite as good" episodes really kind of blend into the background. What's left is some really great stuff. My new favorite part of the show is anything where Kate and Sawyer are together and play off of each other. Especially "Whatever the Case May Be" and Kate's headbutts.

I liked Danielle and her backstore in the freaky deaky way. This is one of those shows where like Sayid is fixing the music box and all of the sudden you are like OMG THAT'S A MAP OF THE ISLAND.

Locke and Boone's relationship is pretty interesting. I have heard someone is going to die in the first season and I'm not sure who, but Boone seems like a likely candidate given all of the signals. One is that he seems to have reached the same apex of characterization that Locke has (making him less interesting) and the "red shirt" conversation.

"Hearts and Minds" wasn't a great episode, but I know fully believe that the island is making everybody experience these flashbacks and my theory is that Boone and Locke have basically let the island consume them to a certain point and have in return gained a certain kind of "enlightenment" or connection with the island. The fact that I now think the flashbacks are triggered by the island rather than just "backstory" kind of makes the whole thing a little creepier to me.

One last thing... Walt's crazy thing with the bird running into the window and now he's seen a weird animal or the "monster".

ERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR....

The Polar Bears are very His Dark Materials!

Finally got through the entire season on DVD. Even better than when I watched on TV.

I got a bit of the extras watched. The Lost Flashbacks (lost flashbacks, not "Lost" flashbacks) were okay, but nothing special. I felt like the Claire one was trying to cram her entire backstory into the one scene with Greg Grunberg (the pilot from, well... the pilot episode). Saw a few audition tapes, and they were cool.

The Museum of Television and something-or-other was short, but still fun. Although, I would have liked if they didn't talk at the same time on several occasions. It was all mostly jokes and what-not. Rarely anything serious. The bloopers were blah. Really, you see one blooper reel, you've seen 'em all. I don't get particularily excited when I see my favorite stars flubbing their lines.

And the original opening sequence? Oh god... painfully bad. It works for a show like Alias, but Lost? No. Just... no.

Top Five Favorite Episodes:
5. Everybody Hates Hugo
4. Do No Harm
3. Exodus, Part 2 (or Part 2 and 3, if you count the 2-hour episode as two episodes)
2. Pilot, Part 1
1. Walkabout

(Honorable Mention: Deus Ex Machina; Numbers)

Favorite Flashbacks:
5. everyone ("Exodus, Part 1 and 2")
4. Hurley ("Everybody Hates Hugo")
3. Michael ("Special")
2. Claire ("Raised by Another")
1. Locke ("Walkabout")

Least Favorite Episode: House of the Rising Sun (I found it really hard to watch this again. It just really didn't do a thing for me at all.)
Least Favorite Flashback: Sun, House of the Rising Sun (Again... the whole episode surrounded Jin and Sun, and while they aren't my least favorite characters, they really weren't good as leads for the show. The flashbacks were painfully boring.)

And yeah, I'm dreading tonight's episode, since it's a Sun flashback. I hope to God it's better than "House of the Rising Sun".

And... question: where are the Claire episodes?! She had the second most interesting flashback, and she's only had the one episode. I don't see any flashbacks on the horizon, either. At least Shannon gets her own episode soon.

According to tv.com, tonight is a Jin episode, not a Sun episode.

Hmm... I wasn't too high on his episode last season, either. We'll see, though. 9 minutes to go!

In last season's finale, I really liked it when Locke mentioned the game "Operation" to Jack, while handling the dynamite, then he made a Zzzt! sound while picking the dynamite up, that made Jack jump. It was a fairly light moment in such a tense situation.

Yeah and shortly after that, Hurley told Jack that he had a little Arnst on him, and flicked off some burnt flesh off Jack's back. They also had some humor last episode with Hurley's crazy dream.

Anything with Hurley is bound to have a little humor in it, it seems.

is that the best they can do with Sun? If it wasn't for Jin, she would be the most boring character on the show by far. Jin is developing into an even better character as the show progresses.

So it definitely looks like Shannon is gonna get offed in 3 weeks (WTF?!?). I wish she wasn't, but all the signs point towards it.

Yeah, I think it's Shannon, too, Flava'd. They're hinting at in the peek at the new episodes. I'm glad if it is her, shes the girl on the island I dislike the most. Plus she adds nothing at all to the show. She sits and tans all day. Whoo-dee-do. What could her flashbacks reveal? That she's a spoiled princess? We already know that. I don't think there is really anything interesting left to know about her. Won't be sad to her go.

Tonights episode was okay, although Sun/Jin flashbacks weren't too exciting. What I wanna know is if the legs dragging the teddy bear is supposed to be Walt. It seems ot obvious to be him, and they're probably just throwing at us to make us question. I really don't think Walt is anywhere in the vicinity that Michael et al. are searching.

Ugh. Not a great episode, but the scenes with Mr. Echo were good. He's a very interesting character.

I could care less whether or not Sun has her wedding ring. Locke's scene with her was funny, but her tearing up her garden was just really cheesy. It wasn't the editor's fault either, it was pure Sun with the inability to be in a rage. (Which might be a good thing for her in real life...)

3 weeks, boo!

I also don't want Shannon to get offed...I feel her character is *starting* to become interesting. I don't see why anyone has to get knocked off right now anyway. Egad.
