Mariska Hargitay's character and Ana Lucia are nothing alike, at all. Seriously. It was probably just the epiosde you watched.
I agree they are not identical, but it wasn't just one episode, I"ve seen dozens of these episodes cause for a while Law and Order shows were one of the few professionally made shows on (things have gotten better on TV in the last couple years but it was bleak there for a while on the tube).
What they have in common is hard to describe, you might call it a "girlfriend from hell" look.
Maybe she's better now, I haven't watched it hardly at all the last couple seasons.
