Desmond is in teh finale, and is in there quite abit. I have seen some pictures of the finale and there are pics of him with Locke in the hatch and more. Also, Desmond is supposed to be a regular next year. Also, next week we find out how the plane crashed but I think most of us know how it did. If you don't...Just watch the beginning of the pilot...VERY CLOSELY....

Good! I like Desmond, at least what I saw of him.

Ok, there is speculation that he is. All you could see was a ponytail, so if you think ponytail=Desmond then yes, but I dont think it is him. I think that Desmond is on the boat thats coming, but i may be wrong... I really dont know But Krem you do know how the plane went down right?

should be .org not .com I believe.
which you already know, just correcting for others who later see this.
And if I'm wrong, someone correct me.

Hmm if you say so but at .org there are plenty of subtle references to Lost.
" * Secrets
* | Letyourcompassguideyou
* | flights travel
* | budget airlines
* | hanso
* | Vacations
* | Travel
* | Tv show
* | Compass
* | Shopping
* |
Is one link toolbar.
I even went to their travel section, and clicked on a kayak air site and tried to price a flight from sydney to LA and it started spinning letters much like the timer when it gets down to 0 (except no weird symbols, just normal words). So whoever put up the .org site must have expected people to go there, whether on purpose or by accident I dunno.
edit: Ahh I see it's the same site at both urls.

'twas a good episode, I thought. Not one of the best, but the flashback wasn't completely pointless and it put Michael's actions in perspective - though most of us had already guessed his motivations. I'm glad Sayid's at least using his head - Jack is a total moron. Michael was acting far too suspicious.
There was a lot of interesting questions raised in the flashback:
- How did Walt get on a computer? Was it even him?
- What is "the room"?
- Why are the Others pretending?
- What tests are they doing? Why were they asking the questions?
And, most of all:
- Why did they want Jack, Kate, Sawyer, and Hurley?
Very mysterious. And the boat coming at the end was a nice shocker to cap off the sappy ending. I bet it's Desmond.
Next week should rock. Sounds like the monster's coming back, the timer runs out, and Locke goes nuts. Can't wait.

Oh, and I just read a very interesting spoiler. Not sure if it's true, but here it is anyway:
[spoil]Michael Emerson (Henry Gale) is returning next season as a series regular.[/spoil]

I don't get the hate for this ep, it had a lot of good moments. I have been very vocal about my dislike for Lost lately but i thought that this ep was solid all around except for one thing, jack. Why do people continie to tolerate him? He tells Sayid that he isn't coming because michael said so, he had an attitude with Eko for not returning to give jack news immediately, he is basically always telling people what to do and never listens to anyone....and then just accepts what michael says and doesn't question. I am so glad that Sayid is still here, as he is so wonderful. He clearly sees that michael is hiding something, and he tells jack about it (with the "no, keep walking" thing which was baddass) then genius jack's idea is "well, lets just go talk to michael" while Sayid tells jack that they aren't going to do that and they can use this to their advantage.
I was also really amused when Vincent brought Charlie the heroin statue and wanted to play. Then i was thinking it was going to be more of the Charlie-tempted-by-the-drugs stuff and instead Charlie threw all of the drugs in the ocean. Good for him, and i was glad Locke saw. About Locke, i bet that Locke is going off to get dynamite. In the next week on Lost clip there was an explosion in the hatch and i am pretty damn certain that Locke has decided to blow that hatch to hell. I am also pleased with that development. I am also happy that Charlie and Claire are reconciling. Oh, and Eko is an idiot.
The only thing that bothered me at all the entire episode was jack and his idiocy, if jack were to die by the end of the season i would gladly watch S3 with no issues or complaints.

I don't know whether some of the stuff alot of you say on this thread are sarcastic or seriout, but it seems a few you should stop watching Lost
I thought it was a good episode. True that essentially, NOTHING happened in real time but it was basically the preface we needed for the finale.
We're not going to find out how the plane crashed, but why!! I'm actually placing alot of expectations on the finale. I'm counting on it to give us the next direction of the show and also expecting something enormously explosive to happen.

I think the hate from Loyal and Arsi comes because the Episode didn't advance us in anyway.
I found it interesting, but if the finale doesn't do some serious advancement in terms of the direction of this series I will be very dissapointed.

its more than that. it was littered with bad dialogue, and even worse, some very stupid stuff. phrases and reactions like "Its Michael's decision" are just stupid stupid and stupid.

Hmm... I thought it was a fine episode. What were they going to do, pretend we all knew what happened to Michael? Sheesh.
But, it had its share of dumb moments... okay, its share and everyone else's share.
And, it could be Loch Ness pushing the boat to the island, no?

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAALT!!!!
THEY TOOK MY SON!!!
DO YOU HAVE A SON? NO? THEN YOU DON'T GET TO MAKE DECISIONS!!!
The above summarizes my feelings about the last episode and the Michael character. The website in the commercial rocks on the other hand.

Not a great episode. Not much happened, showing what happened to Michael only raised the same questions and answered precious few... also Jack's trust in Michael's plan not only didn't ring true, it was idiotic. Had he come up with a reason why only five could go other than "because that's the only way it'll work", then sure... but jesus, it was fucking ridiculous. Thank god for Sayid.
Does anyone know where I can see the preview for next weeks episode online? Only my version of the ep bloody cuts off at the end of the show.

Cheers both of you!
I wish the episodes themselves were that frantic.
Some bits of note - Desmond runs with a rifle, Jack et al find a pile of mechanical pieces, Jack kicks through a wooden panel on the floor, Locke tries to destroy the computer only to be stopped by eko, and Sayid and Jin look all confused on the boat.
Thrilling stuff!!
