I actually thought it was pretty good. I liked how it went all over the place (the mystery). Although, after Logan said he fooled around with someone while he and Veronica were apart, I don't know why she didn't know it was that Madison chick.

I wonder why Veronica isn't working on the Dean case. What is going to have to happen to get her into it? Or will it just be a Keith thing? (I really hope that if, by some miracle, there is a fourth season, they go back to the original format. While I still love the show, and I don't think the big mystery is the real selling point, it does lose something by not having it.)

I agree. It's just fun to have that mystery there. And why does it have to be a Veronica thing? It could be a Keith thing. Make his character even more involved than he is by having his own mystery of the season. I could live with that.

And where's Wallace? Don't tell me he's the new Mac for the second set of shows.

It's fucking Piz and Parker. The show couldn't afford to have them and give Wallace, Weevil, Lamb, Dick and Mac all the episodes they really should be in. (Though Tina Marjorino probably still would've been absent the first half because of Big Love.)

The CW Says Something Nice about Tuesday's Veronica Mars

I know that the hope for VM's 4th season is fading for most of us. But to be perfectly honest, I think that if the CW is saying anything about VM, then it means they're putting the effort into it to say something nice about it at all. I don't recall any press release last week, when the show did 3.3 mill. Before the break, I recall press releases about Gilmore Girls without any mention of Veronica Mars.

This has to be considered some sliver of hope, right?

I don't think it's fair to blame Piz & Parker, especially since they have barely been in the show this season themselves. Besides, you can't expect them to go to college and NOT make new friends. You really can't blame Piz and Parker especially when last season there was Beaver & Duncan, so it's almost as if it's an even trade.

The problem is that they are regulars. There is really no point to them being regulars. At all. And the switch off for Beaver and Duncan was Mac and Lamb. But they could serve the purpose they are serving without being regulars. They could even be in the same number of episodes. Guest stars get paid less even if they are on more.

Last Week's VM Was Good. This Week? Not So Much.

That link is basically the CW saying the same stuff about VM last week, except this is their weekly roundup of ratings, boasting about VM, GG, Beauty and the Geek, and Smackdown. I doubt we'll be so lucky this week to see good VM news.

You have to go cold turkey. It's hard, but you can do it!

Ok, finally watched this week's episode. Huge improvement over last week. And Veronica Voiceover is back!! Backup, too!

At least Mac got a mention (WOOHOO FOR CONTINUITY!) I really really miss Wallace. And I place 100% of the blame on Piz and Parker.

I've been a little off-and-on with the LoVe thing the past few shows. But when Veronica deleted Logan's heartfelt message (that started off as an attack) before it got heartfelt, I damn near got choked up.

I still love LoVe, but I just can't stand for it to be the focus of the show at all. The scenes last week were really sweet and all, but the episode sucked because of them. I read fan fic for a reason. Keep it off the show.

does anyone really care who killed the Dean?

If this is indeed the last season they need to bring Duncans crazy ass back in. They should somehow reveal that he actually killed Lily and have Logan kill him in a dramatic finale.

And have they given a good reason why Wallace is gone?

The Dean thing is terribly mishandled, and I do not blame Rob Thomas and the writers. I think the CW probably wanted standalone episodes, but Rob wanted the Dean thing to be resolved, so it's more or less in the background every episode, until the last episode or two of this mystery arc.

I don't really want Duncan back for a long period of time, but an appearance in an episode wouldn't be bad.

No good reason for Wallace's disappearance. Same goes for Mac when she disappeared at the start of Season 3.

But at least with Mac there was a reason that Tina Marjorino couldn't be on.

The thing that really bothers me is that this is almost definitely the last season. So who cares what the ratings are like? So why couldn't CW have let Rob do an 11 episode arc instead of 6 and then 5 stand alones?

To be honest, I think this standalone thing is, more or less, a vote of confidence from CW that they want to renew it and want it to succeed, but they also want an audience to find it more easily. To be perfectly honest (again), I don't think I am going to definitely say it's as good as gone until the standalone episodes. I think, in any way they can, CW will let it be known that these episodes will be standalones, and you don't really need a big recollection of past events to enjoy them.

Does that sound crazy? I know ratings are absolutely horrible, but I think they want to at least try to make these standalone episodes work, before they give up entirely. The future of the show is resting on those final five episodes.

I just hope Rob Thomas and Co. don't give up on the show. I hope they really make five INCREDIBLE episodes to end the season.

For a whole scene! :(

But really good episode, other than the Wallace tease. I love Dick. And the promo looks amazing. Maybe they'll actually air it!

If you are very very very patient, there's always the feed on cwtv.com. But you'd have to be VERY VERY VERY patient.
