Ohhh... I knew I missed some of the dialogue there. there was one line I wasn't sure what he said or meant and didn't think much of it. wow. Amazing. So, wait... now charlie also knows where the guns are!!! Or did Sawyer hide them himself after Charlie exposed them?
Ya, it's getting good. But it's moving too slow. We got really spoiled with the finale/premiere combo

Sawyer's character is now my favorite over Locke. The look on Locke's face was priceless when he realized he got screwed. Sawyer is right in a way, who are Jack and Locke to tell everyone else what to do? Was there an election or something?
Next weeks show looks amazing. Well I respect Jack much more than Locke, Locke to me just seems to be cukoo for coco puffs. In the first season somebody said something like that and the islanders seemed to want Jack to be in the lead I thought.
Yes Locke seemed out of control almost like he was losing things.
so any guesses on how the group will handle Sawyer and his new attitude > seems hard to see how he will be in the group anymore.
Him and Charlie are almost turning in Marlon Brandon from Acopolse Now.

Then did you almost miss Charlie's comment about Locke > he wanted Locke to look like a fool............. guess he is still mad for getting beaten up by Locke.

Charlie probably put the guns near the place where he used to keep the statues, and then Sawyer re-hid them. If Charlie knew where they were, Sawyer wouldn't have offered him one of the statues, since Sawyer would have known that Charlie could just take them from the hiding place. Sawyer probably hid the guns in more than one place, so that if by some chance Jack or Locke find them, he has a backup stash.

the episode was good .... but i think only because it was an improvement over just about all episodes this season. this season, i'm sorry is really sucking. but i liked this episode, not for what was shown but for the dynamics that have been set up. I'm glad finally that there is a holy trinity in place and not just Locke and jack trying to run the place. I'm glad Sayid got some time and this seems like a move towards returning back in full force. and i'm glad (even though not totally convinced) that Charlie did something willingly that people wouldn't like ... now hes set himself up as a bit of a heavyweight as well.
Characters I like on the show now:
Locke
Sawyer
Hurley
Charlie
Sun
Sun's husband
Sayid
Eko
Character's I'm indifferent too
Michael
Kate
Bernard
Libby
Rose
Characters I despise
Jack
Walt
Characters that should burn in hell
Ana Lucia

I actually thought it was a good episode, although I was sicking of wondering who the fuck Sawyer was going to con. It seemed he was going to con the woman, then he wasn't, then he was, then he wasn't. Jesus CHRIST.
I thought it was closer to the Season 1 episodes, but that seems to be just me.

3rd and 4th finished for me.
Raffiki, yes, third one wasn't bad at all, thought there'll be more of back end plane people. But 4th for me was absolutelly worst of them all. Not much about plot, but characters.
Hurley getting the dynamite to blow the food room in fear many will hate him? Poor guy, what a pressure. And that after seeing what happened to Artz?
Then his friend's look on face when found that Hugo won the lottery...ugh, like Hurley kidnaped, raped, killed, buried, unburied, raped again, and ate his mother. Why such a dissapointing look? I really don't think he was just surprised.
Ana Lucia, seemed sweet in first season, in second it seems she was 'type casted' if that's good phrase for what I mean. Hate the character, too bad she didn't hit Sawyer for the third time.
And lastly, don't like what writters made of Locke. Quite a change in some 50-60 minutes of their time concerning the button. First reluctant to press it, then after some time and that movie, convinced it's end of it all if not pressed. Man of faith, ok...but how, or why he got to the point of breakdown similar to the one he had the night Boone died?
And in 4th, all smiles...oh well, atleast I like him the most that way.
Sadly for me, slight dissapointment whole second season thus far. Still 20+ episodes to go though.

I just had another thought...
Did Sawyer con both the girl and that guy?
Did he actually fall for her or did he just say that to the guy to make him think he's not gonna leave her, but he leaves her anyway so he can have the money all to himself?
I think the first third of season 2 started off pretty damn good. I'd rate it above Season 1. Now, it's come to a standpoint. It should start building up to something.
I think alot of us idealize Season 1 too much. I remember losing interested around December during Season 1 and only regained it because a friend of mine joined in with the crazy fanboyisms. But, the buildup to the finale really reeled me in.
Does anyone have the schedule of the next episodes and how long we're gonna get new ones?
I know we have Sayid, Locke, and Claire episodes filmed. I don't know in what order we're gonna get them.
I heard on E! that...
[spoil]In Claire's upcoming episode alot of stuff will happen and she will start remembering what happened to her during her abduction. I wonder if her flashbacks will be her abduction [/spoil]

Sawyer only conned the girl, he was telling the truth during the fight with his fellow con man Gordy. If he was planning on lying to Gordy and taking the money all for himself, we would have seen a second confrontation. The writers only wrote the Sawyer-Gordy scene to try and mislead us so that we would think that Sawyer wasn't going to go through with the con (and so we could see Kate's mom)

What an amazing episode! It kept making you guess, and Sawyer's new reign over the camp is fantastic. Sawyer knows exactly what's going on, and I love it! I thought it was quite pathetic of Jack to take all of Sawyer's stuff when he was on the raft. It was about time something bad happened to Jack and Locke. I like Locke, but in Season 2 he's been a real weirdo and him punching Charlie three times was over the top *even though it's Charlie*.

I did enjoy Sayid's momentary child-like giddiness over the "glorified walky-talky". He's been too much of a Mopey McGrump since Shannon's death. Since all the characters seem to be changing, they should just make him exactly like Hurley. Fun-lovin', joke-crackin', lovable schlub. What would be the harm in that?

We are up to the 13th episode now and I am still feeling that slight disappointment for the whole season so far. But we'll see. It is getting a little bit better.

Seen the last episode finally. It was a decent one, at least things are moving forward.
It is still all a bit weird, though. I am not sure where they are heading with Sawyer and Charlie, but obviously the whole series is about redemption, so I guess they'll arrive there sooner or later.

Think the future is less clear on Sawyer > how they will handle this in the future > how will they treat the characters and their interactions.
******************
Think Charlie is less of a problem > he is just the little PUNK who did this as a one incident act > can't see them making Charlie a heavy or a criminal mastermind.
> That said, how long do you think before it comes out that he was involved in the gun theft ( Locke should figure this out ) or that he was involved in Sun's kidnapping ( maybe figured out if there is ever a Sawyer connection > how could Sawyer have done it by himself.)

So, is this whole army thing going to be Season 2's hatch? They'll drag it out until the end, but leave you hanging until Season 3?
And who thinks the army thing sounds kinda lame?

Seeing as they introduced the idea just around the exact same time they introduced the idea of the Hatch in Season 1, I'd say ya, it will be building up to that. and plus, the hatch was very secretive and only Locke and Boone were working on it. It seems as though only Jack and ana are working on this secret army thing, even though more people know about it.
And yes, I think it's a little lame. I think they could make it work and can pull it off, but in all honesty the Hatch was 10 times more interesting!

Yes it's lame. Do you think the problems this season might be related to Abrams being busy directing MI3?

Let's hope Ana-Lucia becomes a casualty of war.

They seem to have given up on leaving the island. Or exploring it. Or finding Walt. Or finding Michael. Or Desmond. Or Danielle. Or more Polar Bears.

bABA's guide to the winning episode
Sawyer hands out guns to the entire camp in exchange for things.
All those people who are on the island but are never featured get into an agreement and are shot. We see respectable amounts of footage of this.
The others attack the village, everyone runs.
Ana Lucia falls to the ground, before she gets back up, Hurley steps on her, thus ending her run in Lost
When they think they've lost the others, they hear a growl and see something white charging them. They make a run for it.
They run into Michael and Walt but before they can ask what happened, Walt notices the polar bear and falls.
Polar bear is about to kill him when we hear a grinding noise and trees start to fall. One falls on the polar bear.
The machine monster now starts chasing the group as well as the others. You see them running alongside.
Eko thinks he can face anything so he stands in the way, unafraid.
Other monster pulls him away.
More polar bears show up.
Sigh .. i can hope, can't I?

It should be noted that the music at the end of the episde is Glenn Miller.
Glenn Miller disappeared in December 1944 when his plane disappeared over the English Channel. The wreckage was never found.
It is interesting to note that "La Mer" (or the English title "Beyond the Sea") was written in 1943. You may remember Shannon translating the song to Sayid in Whatever The Case May Be (the song from the computer animated movie "about the fish"; Finding Nemo has a version of the song recorded by Robbie Williams), it was a song that was repeatedly written over and over on Rousseau's notes.
Undoubtably these songs have the same genesis. The radio channel is a big deal.

Semi spoiler:
Rosseau returns this next episode based on the description I saw on TV! She's the perfect counterbalance of craziness that is Ana Lucia. She's tolerable.
