I saw most of it. It was alright, pleasant enough, but if I could have cut out 10 minutes of JD and replaced it with more Dr Cox/McGinley I would have.

As a Scrubs fan and a fan of tonight's finale, there is one thing that has been definitive throughout the shows run and I don't think ends with tonight's finale - JD and Elliot will never be together when all is said and done. After what JD did to Elliot at the end of Season 4 (?) there's no turning back. I mean, any sympathy a loyal viewer had for Elliot is just flushed down the toilet if they get together. Hell, the creators of the show have admitted on the commentaries that the only relationship that is meant to be stable throughout the entire run is Turk and Carla.

I think the last shot of the finale is to show how fucked up they are at that moment and have no idea what they're doing. If they were going to hook back up, I think the writers would've written in a definitive kiss. That saying, it wouldn't surprise me if they make a "mistake" at the beginning of next season's episode. I just don't see Elliot getting married anytime soon. It'd be kind of like in The Drew Carey Show when Kate (Ironically enough Christa Miller) got married (Written off). Kate was an insecure but confident character. She could tell you to fuck off and stand up for herself, but she had problems with her mother and with having a secure life. The same could be said for Elliot (Except "Frick"). Once she gets married, what's left of that character? So I think what's going to happen is the wedding will be delayed. Delayed to the point where it will be in the last couple of episodes, or we will never see it.

That saying, I think the writers are having a slight problem figuring out where to go with the JD/Kim storyline. I think that's the main reason why they wrote the last scene. I think they've written themselves into somewhat of a corner. Is JD going to end up with someone he wasn't meant to (And didn't even want!) or is he going to end up with his pregnant girlfriend who makes him unhappy?

See I think the problem with all of this is that the show is first and foremost a comedy. It's a very thoughtful and thought provoking one and a good chunk of the time a borderline dramedy, but it's a comedy. And unless they pull a surprise out of their ass, the main character of JD is going to end up a miserable bastard by the time the run is over. And I think with everything JD has gone through, that's kind of unfair. That is of course if they want to break the cardinal rule for the show and end it with JD and Elliot getting together. I wouldn't be disappointed if they got together, but that's one fucking sharp 180 from Season 4.

And yet, I still thought tonight's episode was pretty good. The ending was weak, but the rest was good.

Gah, JD and Elliot really shouldn't be together. Didn't the creator dude say when he broke it off the last time that he wanted to give a definitive resolution to their relationship so they didn't keep going back to it?Since then, there hasn't been even an inkling of romance between them and the show's been good for it.

Whatever, though. To me, a JD/Elliot thing just feels natural and always has. So if they're going for that in the last season, I'm all for it. If not, I'll be kind of disappointed -- but not ranting and raving about it...

I thought the finale was fine but really only another reminder of how oddly mediocre this season was.

I hope we get some answers eventually as to what happened in the writers' room. And I really hope something changes next year.

Do the writers realize they are ruining characters lives?

Scrubs has been a favorite of ours for a while, but it has been steadily declining.

When we saw the 'clip show' the one with all the flashbacks it just served as a reminder of how good the show used to be.

I will continue to record it, and will probably watch all the episodes they put out, but it is only because I am hoping for even a glimpse of what it once was.

So last night they showed the episode where she tells JD she miscarried. Just thinking about the finale after watching that just leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. I still liked season six because most of it didn't focus on that storyline, but when it was featured, they really fucked it up badly.
