Arrested Development and The Office >> My Namie Is Earl.

Though Earl is tied for best new show of the season. Jason Lee really does a great job.

Ahem... :nono:

Arrested Developement >> My Name is Earl >> The Office

The Office can be really good at times ("Sexual Harrassment" was great), but still needs to work on its pathos/comedy balence, which is a little off. MNIE has done a really good job of this, and with AD...going...

...away...

...just a sec.

     :censored:

Okay.

I think I'm fine.

Anyway, MNIE is about ready take the throne as TV's funniest show. However, if The Office finally gets its balence right (Only a little for Carrell and everything else for Pam/Jim), it could have some competition.

I'm sure the folks at Fox are sad that it's leaving, but it makes you wonder...

If I were one of the heads at Fox, I would be doing EVERYTHING in power to keep this thing on the air. Even if it meant losing a little money for the sake of PR and such.

But of course that's not the case.

"Arrested Development" would be a lovely addition to HBO, but the pay cable channel has said it will take no one's "sloppy seconds." Given the poor ratings and expensive per-episode price tag, no network or basic cable channel is likely to make a play for it. However, there is an intriguing rumor of a suitor: Showtime.

Ohhh...

Lost cause. Unless a miracle occurs where at least 12 million people tune in, I'd say we (the loyal KJ Arrested Development fans) will be the only ones watching. I wouldn't be at all surprised to see FOX pull the show for good this week, if it does just as bad (or worse) in the ratings.

I guess it's a matter of episode cost that is the deciding factor. I'm sure if it didn't cost as much as it apparently does, it would at least get the 22 episodes this season.

Loved the one year earlier bit showing Charlize in Monster, hehe.

"Bumpaddle."

"Sexxxxual relations."

Charlize really needs to get an Emmy nomination for guest actress.

"Bumpaddle"

below: "A Visit from the SWAT Team."

I'm still giggling over that one.

The show never got any Emmy nomination for its guest actors huh?

Charlize is great as an MR F

Larry the Surrogate: "I wanna kiss my new daughter-in-law..."
George Sr.: "Hey, not on our time, Larry!"
Larry: "... right on the lips."

 What a great show. I'm gonna miss it.

 My brother didn't record it.

I was at work and walked him through putting it to record (and he's done it like 20 times before) but I put the tape in around 12:45am to watch it and there was nothing on it!

The end would have actually been kind of sweet, only it just turned out to be hilarious.

Rita eating the plastic fruit had me on the floor.

FOX had finally fucked the show to the point where even *I* forgot this was going to be on last night.

Rest in peace, Bluths. You deserved better than us. Far better.

At least the fans aren't the only ones being 'feverish' about it being picked up by another network.

http://www.eonline.com/News/Items/0,1,1 ... html?tnews

Producer Brian Grazer told CNN last week that he is working feverishly to move the sitcom to another home.

"I think we'll get picked up by some other network, possibly," he said. "You never know.

"I can't tell you anything other than I'm hoping it works out in the way that we want it to. But I'm optimistic."

That little blurb at the end of the article really does inspire some hope in me.
