The BEST show from NBC's Must See Lineup over 20 years is?
While watching the Seinfeld recap, I was thinking about NBC's Thursday Must See Lineups over the years.
What were your top shows, there sure were alot of quality ones.
- Family Ties
- Friends
- Cosby Show
- ER
- Seinfeld
- Mad About You
- Cheers
- Will & Grace
- Night Court
- Wings

Sometimes that isn't important or the most interesting result, it is how the other places do ( like here maybe what comes in 2 to 5. ) All of these shows were powerhouses or had something special about them at one time.
That is the added bonus / benefit of the poll
- Family Ties - show lasted about 10 years - made Fox famous and pushed him into Back to the Future - not sure how high it went but got to top 3 in a season a few times.
- Friends - people know this story
- Cosby Show - this Bill Cosby show saved NBC - rejuiced sitcoms as when it started there were no real good sitcoms on tv - tv was dominated by hour long action and dramas.
- ER - Geprge Clooney - this long running series made NBC lots of money since it was an hour and cleaned up the ad dollars - made it to #1 a couple of times.
- Seinfeld - people know this story
- Mad About You - this was loved by lots and ran close to 10 years - forget if it was #1 ever but was top 3 - first series where the co-star got a million an episode in its final year.
- Cheers - Assuming every knows this - basically mirrored Seinfeld history
- Night Court - extremely funny that got into the top 3/5 a couple of times - won John Laqoruatte the best actor emmy 3/4 times in a row at one point.
- Wings - this show ran forever - not sure why as I didn't watch and even now runs all over cable.
- Will & Grace - never really watched this show but at some times I remember this show made #1 and was loved by people as the comedy over the others.
With the above want to mention Frasier - I forget if it ever was on Thursday or was always on Tuesday - but that show was incredible - winner of emmies numerous times and the character of Frasier Crane ran on tv for over 20 years.

Yes, Frasier was on Thursdays. I am not certain on early years, but I know for the majority of its run, it resided on Thursdays. It wasn't until Season 8, I believe, that they switched it to Tuesdays.

I'm almost positive that's incorrect. Frasier originally ran on Thursdays, but they quickly moved it to Tuesdays. Then, later on, they moved it back to Thursday where it got lower ratings, prompting them to move it back to Tuesdays, where it stayed permanently.

Gee, I am not sure what show you are talking about as the votes are starting to come in for a number of shows. With Seinfeld and Friends being 1/2.
I gather you are talking about Seinfeld but so far it is only + 2 ahead of Friends and it has only gotten 50 % of the early total votes.
Note - They are so close that if I had voted for Friends instead of Seinfeld, they would be tied at 5 each.

Seinfeld and the Cosby Show are the best of the lists.
Friends is overrated.

Smarty pants! Well, I only discovered Frasier in its sixth season, so don't be all mad!
